Music is my passion! It is involved in every detail of my life, everyday of my life! Therefore, being able to teach others the skills that I have been so lucky to possess, i believe, is a gift! Being extremely versatile and able to play a wide variety of instruments (guitar, bass, mandolin, trumpet, music theory, composition and recording) as well as being familiar and experienced with almost any kind of music you can think of, I am able to help any student get exactly what he wants out of every lesson. I believe that the next generation of musicians are so vitally important to the continued creation of incredible music, music that changes the world! Without that first nudge out the door, who knows what the world could be missing out on! Lets keep the music alive! I have been teaching for about 6 years, through company studios and my own home. I have seen some amazing students walk in and out my door in this time and its the greatest feeling to hear students improve so much so quickly. I want you to be next! I am a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Lowell where I received a bachelor's in Music Performance with a concentration in Sound Recording Technology, one of the best programs in the country, making dean's list every semester I attended. I am very laid back with students but like to keep students hard at work, practice makes perfect! So cliche but so true. I have years experience playing out in groups in the area and have even played at Symphony Hall with a Jazz/Rock Big Band, as well as the Berklee Performance Center in Boston. *** Lesson Details *** You can expect high class instruction and attentiveness on my part at my lessons. I truly believe that the student should so most of the talking at the lesson. It is easy for teachers to go on and on about the subject that they are passionate about but I see that as selfish and not necessarily as beneficial for the student. It is very important to me that a student walk out of every lesson feeling that they made a connection with not just another teacher or person but with another musician. I love talking about music with students! At their first lesson, I always ask students what kind of music or artist really moves them. In just a few short months you can expect to be well on the way to learning what you came in to learn. Whether its improvisation, scales, rhythms, theory or just some tunes you wanted to learn, you wont be disappointed after a few weeks! *** Studio Equipment *** has amps, guitars (electric & acoustic), bass guitar, cables *** Travel Equipment *** I can provide everything from guitars to amps to cables, picks, tuners and metronomes. *** Specialties *** In terms of teaching guitar, my main instrument, I specialize in teaching improvisation and developing solos or lines over chord progressions. I also am versatile in early any style of music and can help any student play what they want to play fast because I understand anything they throw at me. I also excel at teaching jazz and bluegrass because of my extensive knowledge in theory and mandolin, respectively.
