Trombone with Bob B.

My name is Bob Beecher and I am the principal trombonist with the Los Angeles Pierce Symphonic Winds. My Philosophy Beginning band students need to practice at home in order to improve their skills. If that practice reinforces good techniques, improvement typically follows. On the other hand, repetition of poor technique only reinforces poor technique. Some students are naturally gifted and do not seem to struggle in class. At home, however, they usually tire of rudimentary practice and need to be challenged with more complex routines. I know of these experiences because they all applied to me during my school years. My Background I have performed with the Santa Clarita Valley Concert Band, Valley Symphony Orchestra, American Victory Orchestra, San Fernando Valley Symphony Orchestra, Colburn Adult Wind Symphony, and the LA Winds Jazz Band. I have been with the Los Angeles Pierce Symphonic Winds since 1999 and have been their principal trombonist for nearly that long.
