English Literature with Blake W.

Blake W has more than 10 years of experience in theatre education and theatrical production. Mr. W has worked as a professional director, stage manager, and performer, as well as public school teacher and college faculty. He currently teaches theatre at Tarrant County College. Prior to arriving in Texas, Mr, W was the director of the LSU Performing Arts Academy at Louisiana State University, a community school of the arts. Prior to that, he was Director of Education for the Irondale Ensemble Project in New York City, where he oversaw arts education programs in 5 New York City public schools and co-directed the Irondale Young Company, a teen theatre ensemble modeled closely after Irondale's professional resident company. As a director, his credits include U Bug Me, a play for young audiences, Clock Without Hands, The Life and Times of Tulsa Lovechild, Brighton Beach Memoirs, In the Blood, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, and many others. Mr. W holds a M.F.A. in Theatre from Arizona State University and a B.A. in Theatre & Drama from Indiana University.
