Manufacturing Process Engineer I

Worked as a leader in engineering projects (PM) and providing engineering assistance to improve and troubleshoot the manufacturing processes at surface mount technology, wave and select soldering, de-panel and hand soldering for Jabil Defense and Aerospace Product (JDAS). Was in charge of Material Engineering Evaluation to examine fit, form and function of parts. In charge of reducing cycle times, CAPA Quality System, identifying non-value added steps and carrying on kaizen events, improve quality of the product and throughput yield, reduce work in process (WIP), and keep up to date FMEA, work instructions and work cell procedures for Honeywell product. Was also in charge of creating process specifications, including routings, and new product introduction (NPI). Worked in internal and external audits of our engineering processes. Started as an intern and quickly moved up to an engineer position.

Worked on Systems Engineering –Secondary. This included root cause analysis of an Engineering Evaluation for an installation of Temporary Sump Pump in the Radiological Control Area of Unit 2. Worked as a facilitator and used problem solving tools to carry on Engineering Evaluation, Work Repair, and Condition Report/ Disposition Request project. Also worked with Senior Engineers in the Lube Oil, Extraction and Drain Valve, and Fuel Pool Cooling and Clean Up systems. Worked on Significant CRDR Unit 3 Reactor Power Cutback, a failure in the U3 Extraction and Drain Valve.
