    Berhani W. is a young up-and-coming saxophonist. He began playing drums in a baptist church, but started to focus on playing saxophone when he started the fifth grade. In high school, Berhani began listening to Charlie Parker and Julian Cannonball Adderley. Soon after he began studying Jazz and improvisation. He also plays flute and other percussion instruments. Berhani studied Afro-American studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. While studying there he has received private instruction from Dr. Felipe Salles, Jeffery Holmes, Paul Lieberman, Lynn Klock and Tom Giampietro. During his time there he has had the opportunity to perform with Vishnu Wood, Paul Arlslanain, George Kaye, Miro Sprague, Jeffrey Lockhart, and Robert Weiner. Recently, he has performed at the Staten Island Jazz festival with pianist James Weidman, opening for jazz legend Barry Harris. He has been on tour in Eastern Europe with Terry Jenoure and Maria Mitchell as part the theater production entitled "My Bronx". He has also recorded at P. Diddy's studio in Times Square.
