Learning music should be both fun and challenging. I have been teaching at the private and college level for over 15 yrs now. If you are a true beginner, or have been playing for many years, but want to go to the next level, then I'm the guy for you. *** Lesson Details *** From the very 1st lesson, you will be playing songs, as well as working on technique, and learning theory (how to read music, chords, scales, etc.). I'm a laid-back teacher, but I do set goals for each student, and expect you to practice, to attain these goals.  *** Studio Equipment *** teaching studio w/ computers, pro tools, recording, finale, seating for parents *** Travel Equipment *** Student should have a guitar, tuner, music stand, and method book. I provide repertoire, staff paper. *** Specialties *** I've come up with a method for beginners that I had implemented when teaching college, that fuses classical technique with pieces from various genres that the student may be interested in learning. For students interested strictly in Classical Guitar, I mostly use the Noad and Parkening Method books.
