I first picked up the guitar my junior year of high school, and 14 years later have since moved on to drums and bass guitar as well. I have mastered many different styles and played in several bands and continue to perform at local venues today. I have studied the works of a range of professional artists like John Petrucci of Dream Theater, Paul Gilbert and Thomas Lang on the drums to name a few. I have been teaching a wide range of students, both young and old with great results for over 7 years. Ive taught a 10 year old to play both guitar and drums all the way up to a 45 year old how to have better control on guitar. It is truly a great feeling for me to watch a 10 year old go from having no knowledge at all of drums or guitar, to a month later having solid control of both and all the confidence and enthusiasm in the world. Throughout my time learning and teaching music, I have learned through trial and error what ultimately works best and what doesn't. Ive used all the knowledge that ive gained over the years to put together a thorough and consistent lesson plan for each instrument that has shown great results every time. *** Lesson Details *** Whatever your goal may be, whether its improving technique, improving speed and control, expanding your arsenal or simply gaining better overall coordination, I have the plan and experience to show you how to get there. Ive developed my own unique lesson plans for Guitar, Drums and Bass Guitar based on years of trial and error and recognizing what works and creates the best and most efficient improvement in a student no matter what age or experience they are. Ive been teaching for over seven years and there has never been a student of mine that hasn't improved significantly on either instrument using the methods that I teach. I believe that fun plays a vital role in the learning process and I make evey session as fun and as memorable as I can. I am very laid back and patient and let each student learn at their own pace as everyone is different and unique in their own way. Each lesson plan has a large set of exercises that once mastered will ensure improvement no matter what. I can personally and honestly gurantee you that after three to six months of training you will be playing guitar riffs and drum beats that you thought were nearly impossible before you ever began lesson one. *** Studio Equipment *** 2 Electric guitars, 1 Half Stack Amp, 1 Pearl Double Bass Drum fully equipped drumset and 1 Bass Guitar *** Travel Equipment *** I have 2 Guitars and amps, but it is preferred that the student have their own guitar and practice amp as most students learn better on their own personal instrument and it makes the learning process easier *** Specialties *** I am very fluid in Rock/Metal and Blues and incorporate a lot of lead guitar and speed techniques into my playing that develop excellent speed, control and coordiation that can be used in any style. In the drum world I do a wide range as well, with mostly rock and metal but also punk, tribal, techno, dance, hip hop and shuffle. I put an emphasis on including the double bass pedal in your overall style as it expands what you can do on the drumset in any genre ten fold.
