Lesson Details

Students of all ages and and ability levels are welcome!! Anne believes that we learn best when we are having fun. Her lessons are fun and flexible, yet provide appropriate musical challenges for students to master. Piano students will benefit from using Alfred's Basic Piano Library method books, supplemented with ear training and composition exercises. Anne's favorite piano genres are Baroque, Classical, Musicals, Pop, Blues, and Jazz.

Vocal students typically begin by working on ... familiar folk songs to develop vocal strength, breath support, and technique. Ear training, diction, and stylistic decision making are all elements covered in Anne's vocal lessons. Anne's favorite vocal genres include Broadway, Hymnody, Folk Songs, Jazz, German Art Music, and Italian Art Music. Whatever your musical taste - Anne will find quality literature to suit your needs.

Anne always encourages students to share pieces & genres that interest them, so that she can help them learn to play the type of music they love.
