About Me

From the early age of 9, years old, Andrew has felt the pull of music’s magnetizing force, and he has followed its path instinctively since he was introduced to the 4 string electric bass guitar. Today, Andrew is well acquainted with a variety of instruments and has displayed his talent on recent studio projects, serving as a studio musician/co-producer with artists and bands including Steven Loki Howell, Bruce G. Blowers, and The Icarus Account. He has also participated in Central ... Florida shows/performances with those same names and toured nationally as drummer with the band Amelia Sage. Performing abroad in Bulgaria and Greece has highlighted Andrew’s summer each year as music director for the non-profit organization Love Song International. Leading and organizing music for events, churches, and diverse gatherings have kept Andrew active for years, beginning not too long after the bass guitar met the 4th grader.
Currently Andrew is a senior music student at Stetson University, DeLand, Florida, where he will receive a Bachelor of Music in December 2010. Composition and classical guitar are his main focuses, working closely with Dr. Sydney Hodkinson and Dr. Stephen Robinson, respectively. In the spring of 2009, Andrew won First Prize in Stetson University’s Student Composition Contest with the solo percussion piece, Breakfast Jam. He has appeared in various chamber and solo off-campus performances as a member of Stetson’s Guitar Ensemble. Additionally, Andrew has served as a recording engineer for Stetson University’s Sound Lab, recording concerts and recitals for guest artists and Stetson faculty and students.
