Rated 5 out of 5 by We highly recommend this teacher! Amy is a highly talented, bright, thoughtful and dedicated piano teacher. We couldn't have asked for someone better to introduce our daughter to the piano. She is patient but she gently pushes our daughter beyond her comfort zone. This is the piano teacher you are looking for... April 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very patient and helpful. Our daughter was getting frustrated with learning her notes and Amy gave her some great tools to help her. April 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by My daughter, who is 5 1/2, responded really well to Amy's instruction. This was her first exposure to the keyboard. Amy is a patient teacher but expects she students to be accountable - practice and pay attention in class. Her patience, positive attitude, and kindness shine through at each session. We took only 6 classes with Amy while we had access to a piano while staying in Arizona while my husband was here on business. I wish we could continue lessons with Amy back home. We certainly will continue with lessons now that Amy has laid a positive foundation. March 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by clarinet lessons Amy is fabulous. She works very well with my daughter and myself. We just recently moved to this area and weren't sure what to do when music lessons were not offered at my daughters school. We found takelessons.com and we found amy and we are thrilled. She is friendly, knowledgable and talented. Were very happy! September 3, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent teacher Thanks Amy for teaching Miriam. She is learning a lot from you and really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see her play piano like an expert someday. Thank you so much! July 16, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Review for AMY Z My daughter and I both think that Amy is an awesome teacher! She is very professional, patient and kind. Amy gives excellent, detailed feedback, with the right mix of encouragement, as well as highlighting areas that may need improvement. My daughter is switching from the clarinet to the saxophone, and she is struggling with the new embochure, but Amy is very patient with her, and lets her know what to do to be successful. I would highly recommend Amy to anyone considering private lessons July 1, 2011

    What To Expect
Every teacher is different, but most first lessons begin with an assessment of where you are in your studies. For voice, this may be the time you learn about breathing and posture.
    Reach the Goals You Set
Every TakeLessons student is unique, and so is your lesson plan! You'll work with your instructor to develop a plan suited to meet your specific goals. Most TakeLessons instructors will also keep track of your progress with a lesson journal.
