Lesson Details

I want my students to feel confident and eager to learn more after each lesson. I am very patient but also very motivating. I prompt my students to set goals and then I give them the tools necessary to accomplish them. During each lesson, the student will learn music theory, ear-training, technique and their specific repertoire. Lessons are very organized but I promise they are fun as well! I specialize in classical piano but can also teach other genres for a more well-rounded knowledge of ... piano repertoire. About

I began playing piano at age 4. Since then, I have been very passionate and dedicated to pursuing music and becoming the best, most well-rounded musician I can. At the age of 10, I began taking violin lessons. I participated in many orchestras and symphonies in my hometown throughout middle school and high school. I have also played in many small ensembles and have sung in choirs. I participated in numerous piano competitions in high school and won first place in the Hartman-Stickley Piano ... Competition at age 17.
I am currently studying Music Education at DePaul University. I also enjoy playing in a trio which is coached weekly by various professors in the school. Recently, I have begun writing and recording my own music as well.

I have been teaching private piano lessons since 2006. I am very patient but also very encouraging and motivating toward my students. I absolutely love that I am able to help enrich the lives of students of all ages by teaching them piano. I understand that individual students learn music differently and I tailor each lesson to their specific needs, giving them all the tools necessary to be successful.
