I received my BA in Music Education from Rowan University in 2008, and my MM in Music Therapy from the University of Miami in 2013. Since 2006, I have provided piano, French horn, and beginning guitar lessons to children and adults. Additionally, I have been providing adapted lessons to individuals with and without disabilities, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, for nearly 5 years. *** Lesson Details *** Learning to play music is like learning to read a book. It takes time, patience, and practice. My main goal is for students to be excited about music. Therefore, I try to provide fun, mind stimulating experiences during lessons, while setting high educational goals and maintaining clear expectations. *** Travel Equipment *** Students should have their own instrument. *** Specialties *** I specialize in working with individuals with disabilities. In addition to music lessons and adapted music lessons, I provide MUSIC THERAPY sessions to individuals with emotional, social, cognitive, neurological, physical, and behavioral impairments. ***Background Check*** In case you are wondering, I have not renewed my background check because my after-school schedule is full and I am not looking for young students due to limited availability during the hours 3pm-8pm. I am looking for adult students who can meet for lessons during the morning or early afternoon hours. TakeLessons does not require a background check for individuals 18 years or older.
