Trained at the prestigious California Institute of the Arts, I have been a dancer for 20 years and a teacher for 8. I teach Ballet, Modern and Creative Movement. I have specialized interest and expertise in body awareness for adults and creative movement exploration and motor skill development for children. As an avid reader and lover of the English language, I have pursued many avenues to develop my skills as a reading comprehension tutor for all ages, and an ELA tutor for elementary and middle school aged youths. Alongside my dance training, I have developed specific knowledge of anatomy which attends to my desire and skill set as a tutor of Life Sciences/ Biology for grades 5-12 My main expertise lies in the performing arts field, but remain confidant in my ability to present students with a multitude of skills. *** Lesson Details *** I am available for 60 minute or 90 minute sessions I am great with kids, with a specific experience ages 7-12. Movement analysis and correction for adults wishing to gain a better understanding of their body and an interest in movement exploration. Introductory to advanced Ballet and Contemporary instruction as well as a guide for those wishing to enhance their experience with movement composition, knowledge of dance history or prominent contemporary companies, choreographers and styles. Non-dance lessons include one-on-one tutoring in reading, spelling, English Language Arts, and reading comprehension. With specifics to elementary and middle school aged children. Am open to combination workshops/ lessons and flexible to suit individual needs. *** Studio Equipment *** Yoga mats and yoga blocks and straps. Bright open studio with hardwood floors.
