As a mandolinist and arranger, Alex has worked with accomplished musicians from all over the world. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Performance from Berklee College of Music in 2012 with a minor in Latin American Music and Cultural Studies. During his studies at Berklee, Alex was featured in Latin Grammy Award winner Alejandro Sanz’s music video for “La Musica No Se Toca.” Alex travels annually to Italy and Brazil to study and perform. Alex’s focus as a music teacher is supporting each student’s individual interests. He encourages his students to be innovative with their ideas while integrating his research and curriculum of world folk, jazz, and classical music into their education. Alex’s skill and expertise position him as one of the top up-and-coming mandolinists and composers. This is complemented by his eager attitude and desire to share his wealth of knowledge.
