Cello with Ahmere B.

Ahmer'e B. has been a very musically active and involved individual within the Pittsburgh Area as well as across the globe. Ahmer'e has played for First Lady, Michelle Obama, Yo-Yo Ma, Sarah Chang, Steven Isserlis, and other well-known individuals. From 2011 thru 2013, he was Principal Bassist with the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra; and from 2013-2014 he sat as the Assistant Principal Cellist. He has played with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra on numerous occasions - sitting as principal for both Double Bass and Cello. In 2013, he embarked on an international tour with the Inaugural National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America directed by Valery Gergiev and guest soloist, Joshua Bell. Ahmer'e is currently pursuing his Bachelors in Music Performance under the direction of Adam Liu, who was formerly taught by Lynn Harrell, a world-reknowed Cellist.
