I've been a professional touring and studio drummer & percussion for over 15 years and have played all over the world. I am also a commercial composer, and clinician. I have taught privately for almost 15 years, but also spent 8 years teaching after-school classes in New York City public schools. I helped run, manage, and taught for Maracatu NY, the first percussion school in North America focusing on northeastern Brazilian percussion for the better part of 6 years and in 2013, published a book titled "Maracatu for Drumset & Percussion" on Hal Leonard Publications. I am a graduate of The New School (NYC, Jazz Studies BFA), and the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy (MI, Classical & Contemporary Percussion performance). I have worked with students from 4 years old all the way to 70 and loved every minute of it.
