    About Aaron B.

    Aaron is a freelance bass trombonist, teaching and performing in the Metro-Detroit area. Aaron is currently working on a master's degree at the University of Michigan. Previous to his appointment at U of M, Aaron completed his undergraduate study at Western Michigan University, studying with Dr. Steve Wolfinbarger. While enrolled in his degree programs, Aaron has enjoyed a plethora of musical experiences, both educational and professional, ranging from trombone ensembles to regional orchestras. Aaron's primary teachers include Steve Wolfinbarger and David Jackson, and has also taken lessons with and performed for Jeremy Wilson, Massimo LaRosa, Nick Schwartz, Ken Thompkins, Evan Conroy, and Randy Hawes, among others. Aside from performing and teaching, Aaron has a love for repairing and tinkering with brass instruments, and enjoys arranging chamber music.
