Do you love to sing? I offer private voice instruction. In a relaxed, fun environment.

I teach Somatic Voicework The LoVetri Method created by Jeanie Lovetri) is a body-based method of vocal training which draws from many disciplines. It is based upon voice science and medicine as well as traditional classical vocal training, complementary tools such as yoga, movement, dance, acting, and speech training, and various bodywork approaches. My Education and Licensing includes, BAA of MDS studies West Virginia University, Studies in Master of Classical Performance Wichita State, Artist Diploma Duquesne University, and Levels I II & 3 In Somatic Voice Work from Shenandoah Conservatory. As of February 2014 I have been certified as a National Association of Teaching Singers " Nats" Vocal Coach. In this way I will in the future offer opportunity in Performance and Masters classes through this organization to to promote confidence, fun in Music, and Personal Growth.

I also recently wrote an article with takelessons about one of my interesting approaches to teaching. Feel free to check it out and comment! :)

*** Lesson Details ***
My goals are to give you or your child one thing. The tools to accomplish the goals they stride for in a relaxed and safe atmosphere. So I tailor my teaching environment to the Students needs and desires, personality, and of course way of learning. At the end of the day, it really is all about you. :-)

*** Studio Equipment ***
Large studio apartment, one half setup as music studio with clavinova piano, Finale 2012 for theory teaching, Hand bells, Video games pertaining to Music Theory, Interactive teaching toys, and many books. Waiting area in studio for parents with couches, and can also sit in on lessons. Free parking on street.

*** Specialties ***
*Teachers classified as a Student Favorite have taught a minimum of 25 lessons and have received the highest feedback rating from students.

My main goal is to make everyone feel like they are at home. So I have a studio that offers that. It's a small space for now) I will be expanding soon. But we make it work. :)

If you are seeking the big baby grand piano and stern Voice teacher this may not be the place for you or your Child. I believe Music can be a very organic and wonderfully fun process and teach it that way. While instilling excellent work ethics and creating all types of Music and Strong Technique in Healthy Singing.

When I teach children I teach them Music theory using colors. The formula I use is called the "ROYBIV" Approach. While it is a new idea to society as I very recently had it copy righted, I have been using it for three years and it really works. "ROYGBIV" has has helped make music theory more applicable and fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jen is simply the best-better than all the rest!!! My grandaughter Kayla has been taking singing lessons with Jen for almost a year now. Prior to Jen, Kayla had one lesson with another teacher but it was not a good match. Kayla needed someone who would critique her in a positive way and make her strive to do better in all aspects of what she learns. Jen has this capability of taking something negative the student is doing and make the student feel positive about it. I know sounds impossible, but I witnessed it myself. My grandaughter loves going to her lessons and she is learning so much more than just singing techniques. Jen has opened a whole new world to my grandaughter. She talks about now writing her own music, learning Italian, etc. She even tried out for a school play and got a part; something I know she would not have been comfortable doing if not for Jen. So, if you want an atmosphere of learning in kindness, an enthusiastic teacher that makes you feel special as you learn your craft, never makes you feel self conscious of yourself as you learn and most of all the ability to let the student know they truely are special she's the one. She's a teacher you'll remember with a warm smile everytime you open your mouth to sing. March 7, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent and fun teacher!!!!!!!! Jen is an amazing teacher. In the time we have been together I have noticed lots of improvement not just with singing but with my confidence. I always was very scared to singing in public which was a problem with doing theater. Even from the first lesson I was welcome with her energetic personality. She teaches you the way that you learn the best and makes each lesson fun and interesting. All of my lesson have been colorful and interactive. She approach them with new techniques I have never even heard of and make everything easy and simple to understand. She gives you her honest opinion and helps you improve on your weaknesses to make sure you will succeed. November 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome instructor Jen is an amazing teacher hands down!! She is down to earth, honest, and patient with my daughter which is not always an easy task. My daughter is passionate about singing but has ADHD, Jen has found what works for Breanna and keeps her focused and motivated. Just in the few months we have had lessons I can definitely tell how much her voice and breathing has improved. We are so lucky to have found Jen and HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for singing lessons. October 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing teacher She takes an individual approach to teaching, and really tries to find out how each of her students learns best. She makes even the very first time beginners feel like they are making progress, and puts a positive spin on everything. The atmosphere is most relaxed and I do not feel like she puts on any airs. I plan to stay with her for a long while, and learn as much as I can!! July 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Teacher with Outstanding Results My Daughter has been taking lessons with Jen for only a couple of months but her quality and range have improved dramatically. She can't wait to attend her lesson and after the first lesson my 10 year old was so comfortable with Jen's warm welcoming personality and high energy atmosphere that she attends her lessons alone with no distractions. I am so pleased with everything and could not imagine lessons with anyone else. Not to mention that she takes my child back to me and makes sure that I am present for the safety of my daughter. Give her a try. You won't regret it but may ask why you waited so long to begin with. June 25, 2013
