My Specialties
Although I teach all styles, my most well developed programs focus on Flamenco, Jazz, and Classical guitar, as well as song writing and recording. I feel the tools learned in these styles carry over very well to other musical areas. Jazz improvisation and soloing gives you the ability to greatly expand the soloing possibilities available for use over rock and blues progressions. Flamenco and classical can add a great deal of touch and expression to all forms of acoustic folk, country, and rock. So although I spend a great deal of time on flamenco, classical, and jazz forms I also have many books, material and lesson plans focusing on the styles of artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Johnny Cash, Modest Mouse, Robert Johnson, Wilco, etc. I offer access to a wide variety of play-along recordings which allow you to have the experience and enjoyment of finding out what it is like to play along with a full band.
My Education
Humboldt State University - General Music Degree - 2004-2007 (Bachelor's degree received)
