I am a guitar virtuoso - electric and acoustic, composer, recording artist, and author. With classical and jazz guitar studies and with years of collaborative composition in progressive rock and fusion, I have attained a high degree of technique and a deep understanding of music theory and songwriting, authoring a comprehensive book, "Understand, See, Hear - Become One with the Guitar." My musical journey as a composer and recording artist has always been an expression of my individuality. With many years teaching private lessons, I offer myself as a mentor, to help anyone achieve their voice, their passion, on the guitar.

My name is Benjamin S. and I graduated with my B.S. in Psychology and Spanish from Brigham Young University. I am now in Knoxville studying to get my PhD in Performance Psychology. I have been playing the piano since I was four years old and have traveled around several places in the world to perform and compete. I taught piano for five years and am experienced teaching a variety levels and ages. Specifically, many have come to me in consultation and preparation for special performances such as beauty pageants and talent shows. I know what it takes to help a student perform at their optimum skill and performance levels.

John is a professional classical musician, vocalist and voice teacher with 15+ years experience. Effective speaker, trainer and spokesperson who draws on a unique blend of musical experience, training and ability to create excitement and enthusiasm using theatre background to educate. Performed professionally in church and on stage as music and stage director as well as baritone soloist in a wide variety of musical styles. Extensive music training including Master’s Degree Program in opera performance, church and classical music and music of all genres.

John is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, played cello and sang with The Appalachian Singers folk group before studying music education at the University of Tennessee and vocal performance at Queens College in Charlotte, N.C. Paige, soprano, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where she was a member of the Knoxville Opera Studio. Recent appearances include ‘Rose’ in Street Scene, ‘Donna Elvira’ in Don Giovanni, ‘Ann Putnam’ inThe Crucible, ‘Alma Way’ inThe Village Singer, scenes at the Harrower Opera Workshop including ‘Manon’ (Manon), ‘Elektra’ (Idomeneo), and ‘First Lady’ (Die Zauberflöte), as well as numerous events in the Knoxville area, such as the Clarence Brown Theater’s ‘Amadeus’ (Katherina Cavalieri). Paige currently teaches voice and music appreciation at Pellissippi State Community College. She holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance as well as a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education from Texas State University.

I teach guitar, drums and vocals to an array of students ranging from 10 to 60. Not only do I teach but I also write songs for certain students who have a desire to perform their own music as well as learning and honing their craft on their instrument. I am currently helping a vocal student of mine write some songs after scales and warmups and am working with one of my top guitar students tomorrow on different scale techniques. I am also working with more and more students on songwriting and showing them different chords and ways to go about writing a song. I am currently getting two of my students ready for talent shows and I am working on a drum video with one of my drum students (of course). I would love to get started with you as soon as possible and we will get you where you want to be musically.
