About Trina

I'm a friendly, patient, enthusiastic, experienced teacher, joyfully instructing piano professionally since 1999. Music transcends words, and I have a deep understanding of music/ piano, both personal/ experiential, and technical/ academic which I truly enjoy sharing with my students. A classically-trained pianist, I've been taking piano lessons since age 6 and playing "by ear" from early childhood. I continued to study piano throughout elementary school, high school, and college where I studied piano, music history and theory. I studied and completed fieldwork and internships in music therapy and psychology, and have extensive experience working with students with special needs. In graduate school, I studied piano and music theory under David Holzman, world-renowned ...

About VJ

Hello All! I am a guitarist/composer/educator who holds a M.A. Jazz Performance degree from the Aaron Copeland School of Music at Queens College. I also have a B.A. Music degree with a concentration in classical guitar performance from Buffalo State College in my hometown of Buffalo, NY. However, most of my training and experience comes from playing many different styles of music with many brilliant musicians on the scenes of Buffalo and New York. If there is just one thing I know about music, it is that playing music is supposed to be fun and satisfying! It is my job to help my students maintain that mindset as they navigate through the obstacles of musical growth. I am looking forward to teaching all of you, as well as learning from all of you myself. Now, lets make some ...

The Best Drum Teacher

Jason is a fantastic drum teacher. I would highly recommend his services. Jason is a professional, dedicated, great personality and caring person. He is the type of person after meeting him we felt like we have known him for years. He taught my son not just to play the drums but also to be a performer. My son would always come home excited after lessons. Jason makes it fun for my son to learn. Within a few months my son played at our school talent show and he gave the performance of his life! The drums helped build up my sons self- esteem. Jason offers a private drum lesson at an affordable price. We are extremely happy and would definitely recommend him to everyone.

About Derek James

My goal as a teacher is to share all the knowledge and experience I have acquired over 30+ years of drumming. Based on my education from such a diversity of teachers and institutions, I have much to offer. I use many techniques to help the student retain what he or she has learned and teach in a simple, intuitive manor. I am a friendly, patient, compassionate person who will always make you feel comfortable while you learn. My journey started at the age of 8 when I began private lessons for 8 years. I then studied Afro-Caribbean and Brazilian styles of drumming at the prestigious Drummers Collective in Manhattan. My fascination of these particular genres lead me to a renowned teacher by the name of Richie Rodriguez, who refined my hand drumming skills and advanced reading concepts. These ...
