Originally from Long Island, NY, I have been studying piano since the age of 5 and voice since the age of 13. Always involved in select musical groups throughout school, I naturally chose to study music in college. I received my A.A. degree in Music Performance, principal voice, secondary piano. While in NY, I sang and played keyboard for various professional gigs such as weddings, funerals, parties and even sang back up for Kenny Rogers at Westbury Music Theatre, when he traveled through for his Christmas show. I then made sunny Florida my new home. I attended Florida Atlantic University and received my B.F.A in Music Education, principal voice, secondary piano. I continued singing and playing special events and also started teaching private lessons on my own. During the summer, I taught musical theatre camps and helped direct shows. After graduating, I taught chorus and piano in the private school system for 9 years and have taught chorus and piano, for the last 7 years,...

I hold a BFA in musical theatre from Shenandoah University Conservatory where I studied with a concentration in voice. I have been trained in all styles of music by coaches at Carnegie Mellon University and Civic Light Opera. I've been performing as a guest entertainer on various cruise ships traveling around the world for the past several years. As a performer myself I am aware of what different companies are looking for and can help put together a fantastic audition package for a student looking to pursue a career in entertainment, or if you just want to impress your friends on karaoke night! I'm incredibly passionate about teaching voice and want to help inspire students to love what they are learning.

I am a singer, pianist and guitarist who, through the arts, has achieved a lifelong love and passion for performing and teaching music. This love for music prompted me to pursue music education at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music leading to my certification for teaching music K-12 including band, orchestra, chorus, and general music. Using music, I plan to broaden my students’ perspectives, increase their appreciation for classical through popular music, and ultimately, improve their musical ability. I hope that through lessons we can explore my students' musical goals, helping them achieve their dreams as well.

Hi! My name is Barbee and I am pursuing a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. I recently graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance, and I have experience teaching singing, piano, speaking, and music theory. I have taught students ages five to adult, male and female, with all levels of experience and many different musical goals. I have performed in Italy, the Czech Republic, and the US, in operas, musicals, oratorios, concerts, and recitals.
