I'm the technical lead and a founder at TakeLessons.com. I work on adding new features to the site, web design, statistics reporting, strategic direction, and IT.
Prior to joining TakeLessons.com in April 2006, I worked for several years in the Life Sciences industry. At Paracel I worked on bioinformatics software for high-throughput EST clustering and sequence assembly. Following that, at Accelrys, I was responsible for the development of several bioinformatics, molecular modeling, and simulation applications.
I graduated from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) with B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Literature.
When I'm not otherwise occupied coding, I like to hike, mountain bike, cook, brew beer, drink beer, listen to music, build speakers, and collect strange things. I'm also involved in wildlife conservation efforts through SaveTapirs.org and the AZA.
