About Me

I have been teaching since 1994, and I am a member of The Music Teachers National Association, The Maryland State Music Teachers Association, and The Music Teachers Association of Greater Baltimore. I have two pieces of paper on the wall that are supposed to say I know a thing or two about music, namely a Bachelor of Science in Music Theory and Composition from Towson University, and an Associate in Arts in Music from Montgomery College. Some of the more commercial and mainstream stuff I've composed includes: Theme music for The Bargain Basement Game Show by Treyhawk Productions; Songs for The Rude Mechanicals’ production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing; Title music for the unabridged audiobook productions of The Black Star Passes by John W. About Me

I have studied with Wanchi Huang at James Madison University for six years. At JMU, I earned a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music, both in violin performance. I am currently working on a doctoral degree at Catholic University of America, studying with Jody Gatwood. When I was a student at JMU, I taught several students privately. The students ranged from retirees to JMU faculty and students to adolescents. I am now teaching at Baltimore Talent Education Center, where I teach violin in small groups and individual lessons. The students at BTEC range from pre- kindergarden through high school. I also have festival experience. I have been a student at Brevard Music Center, Heifetz International Music Institute, BayView Music Festival, and I was a Teaching Fellow at Interlochen Arts Camp. About Me

I have been playing guitar for around 28 years, I have performed in many states and continue to do so. Playing live is a very special part of playing music, I have also recorded in the studio - it's always great to put your music onto a cd or help a fellow musician out and record when they need someone else to listen. Plus you always have your recording to listen to for a long time. My background comes from learning from a nationally known professional musician who has been performing for over 30 years on world tours & recorded on 10 different albums. I also have studied in different music workshops in the U.S with world renown pro guitarists.

About Me

Hello, my name is Richard. I love all things music, but my primary areas of focus are Piano and Music Literacy and Theory. My musical journey began when I was 6 years old, shortly after my grandparent's piano came to reside in my parents' home. I began piano lessons during that summer after first grade. By the time I was in junior high, my teacher thought I was ready for a more advanced teacher, and so I began taking lessons from someone who had traveled to Europe to study music. In college, I continued my musical journey, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelors in Church Music with a Piano Principal and again in 2004 with a Masters in the same. Since then I have been teaching at a K-12 school, teaching mostly computer-related subjects but also assisting in the music program, fine arts competitions, and special programs. About Me

I have been teaching private lessons for close to 10 years and have been an active performer for even longer, playing in all different types of groups, from rock bands and jazz groups to orchestras and brass bands. I studied music at Frostburg State University (Bachelors) and the Peabody Conservatory (Masters). I can teach just about any age and skill level and cover anything you are interested in learning; whether its a certain style, genre, technique or song.

My name is Jonathan B., and I love helping others and giving back to the community. I participate in various charity events with my church, and donate thousands of dollars of coupons to the troops. I have a gift when it comes to the piano, and I love passing on my knowledge to others. Assisting others to learn and develop their musical ability is a great privilege to me. I have been playing piano most of my life and I feel very comfortable guiding others in this musical art. Helping you or your child reach your musical dreams in a friendly and nurturing environment is my sincere desire and obligation as your teacher. My BS in Psychology with a focus on education has been a great asset to me in my teaching career and I look forward to helping you benefit in your musical hobby or career because of it.

Baritone, O.J., holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where he matriculated as a recipient of a full Linehan Artist Scholarship, a merit-based scholarship awarded to talented and promising artists and musicians. He has recently accepted a position with a program committed to recruiting outstanding professionals who want to bring their experience, knowledge, and records of achievement to the classroom and positively impact the lives of the students who need them the most. He also serves as the Director of Music for Hunt's Memorial United Methodist Church as a private vocal pedagogue and performer in the Baltimore area and is pursuing a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.

About Me

I was born in Charlestown West Virginia. My musical career started at age 3 when my parents place a pair of drum sticks in my hands. I started playing drums in church then progress to play in middle school were I was apart of the jazz band and orchestra. With some very early lessons, I begin to blossom into a skillful drummer. I then continue to play in these bands in high school in addition became apart of the Milford Mill Academy Marching Band. In my sophomore year, I became the section leader of the drum line were I played the snare drum. I have 2 degrees in music theory from Deer Park Magnet school and Morgan State University. I have perform with many bands from different musical genres such as, gospel, funk, pop, jazz, blues, rock, latin, reggae, and r&b. In 2004 I became the only drumming instructor at The Psalms of David School Of Music. About Me

I have been teaching part time for the past 6 years in VA and DC, and have recently decided to being teaching full time in Baltimore, my new home. Over the course of these years, I have gone to school in DC for my BM in Piano Performance, and have recently completed my tenure in the Music and Liturgy office of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. I have performed in community, collegiate, and professional settings as a pianist, vocalist, percussionist, trumpeter and organist. I have had the opportunity to perform as a soloist as well as in chamber, opera, musical theater, and orchestral ensembles in these capacities.
In addition to teaching and performing, I also have experience as a conductor, composer, and music director, and enjoy transcription, arrangement and engravement projects. I plan to pursue advanced degrees in piano pedagogy and look forward to working with piano students of all levels of experience.
