I first started guitar at the age of 12 taking private lessons myself. Some of my main influences then were rock, punk, alternative rock, and ska music. Later I pursued classical guitar but still enjoy the electric. I am a current student at the university of Akron majoring in Classical Guitar Performance. I love all types of music as long as there is a beat I will roll with it.

Teaching has always been a hobby for myself. I am a relaxed individual, but still get results. I do not believe you need to yell and scream, but always just talk it out. I prefer to teach beginners to intermediate players. This is because from the beginning I can start instantly with teaching proper technique witch will allow you to be a better player.

I am a self-taught musician with over 15 years of professional playing experience. I have refined my playing from years of trial and error so you don't have to. My influences musically are wide in range, but cover mostly rock and roll genres with some headier stuff in there too. I love Frank Zappa and classic and progressive rock, but I also love the jamband movement, which to my mind is merely a reorganization of rock around a jazz framework. Itching to jam? I have a Master's Degree in Viola performance from the University of Akron. I have won the Tuesday Musical State wide competition for stringed instruments in 2009 for EJ Thomas Hall. I was awarded String Student of the year in my undergraduate studies at the University of Akron in which I received a Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance. I also have performed with the Ohio Light Opera, Transiberian Orchestra, Ashland Symphony. I attended the Mark O'Connor Strings Fiddle camp in Tennessee and Meadowmount School of Music in New York. I also play at my church with the Gospel Choir, which is a lot of fun! I am also in a band where I fiddle at a pub in downtown Akron once a month.
Teaching is my passion and I enjoy working with students who are eager to learn. I am very strict with proper technique that will benefit the students ability to play well with good intonation and musicality. This will give the student the ability to play any genre of music they choose.

I've been teaching music lessons now for nearly 8 years. I have been singing, playing the guitar, and playing piano since I was 7 years old. I went to Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey to study Sacred Music. While there I had the distinct honor of performing Beethoven's 9th Symphony and Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem with the New York Philharmonic, The Dresden Philharmonic and the New Jersey Symphony at Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center NY, New York as well as the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Throughout my time there I also developed my piano proficiency through rigorous ear training and through the learning of theoretical concepts in music.

Trumpet performer and educator Traci is known for her rich tone, her highly developed sense of musicality, and her passion for sharing music with others. Her first love of music came from piano practice, but in the fifth grade she found her true love: trumpet. Traci currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio, but she received her master's degree in trumpet performance from the University of Denver. During her time there, she served as the brass department teaching assistant. Before moving to Denver in September 2009, Traci lived in Chicago, where she studied trumpet at DePaul University with several members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra trumpet section.
