Bass Guitar, Guitar, Piano, Cello, Music Performance, Music Theory, Upright Bass
Hello! Thanks for checking out my profile. I have extensive training in both classical and jazz/pop/rock styles and I believe I can help any student progress as a player on many different stringed instruments. I am a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts where I received a Magna Cum Laude Bachelor of Music in Professional Music. That essentially means I got to "create my own major" while at Berklee and the program I created was an accelerated bass performance degree. I loved my time in Boston. Before heading to New England I also studied Music Education at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with an emphasis on choral and instrumental music with classical Double Bass being my instrument of study.
I currently play around Nashville doing recording session in various studios and playing live with many different up and coming original artists as well as a few well known artists. I've played bass for Doug Stone, The Bossa Nova Hotel (which included Janey Clewer, Bruce Gaitsch, and Michael Sembello), Mark Schultz, and I received a Grammy nomination in 2007 for playing bass on a record by LynnMarie and The Boxhounds.
I currently also serve as principal double bass with the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra, a local community orchestra that plays free concerts in the area to help spread classical music to people who may not otherwise get a chance to hear it.
I believe that with my experience and education I can help any student of any age and any experience level gain new skills and techniques to help them become the player they want to be!

I have a Degree in music from UNCG with a focus on Jazz Studies. I am a Bass player at heart but I love to teach all different types of instruments! My main accomplishments include my performace record. I have played just about every type of music professionally. Music that includes but is not limited to Rock, Blues, Metal, Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Gospel, Black Gospel, African, Jam and many more. I pride myself on being a diverse musician. I am currently living in Nashville but lived in LA playing all over including Sunset Strip venues such as The Whiskey and The Viper room. I consider myself a very well studied musician who still like to have fun with music and rock out. I also have a lot of experience teaching kids as I have worked for a company who does music lessons 3 year olds and up, so I feel comfortable with any age and have a lot of experience. I would love to help you get to the next level of your playing!!!!
