Great teacher and loads of fun!

I've been taking lessons from Steve for almost 8 years (that in itself should say much about his instruction!). He is able to teach whatever category of music to any person at any level be it acoustic, electric, or theory. I would highly recommend Steve for any age group and for the novice or experienced player wanting to improve. After the many years learning from Steve I wouldn't think of taking lessons from anyone else!

Fantastic Teacher!

I tried to play guitar on my own for years, but until I started taking lessons from Steve, I never really made any progress. Steve is a great teacher that has both the natural ability to teach and play, which rare in the music lesson world. Don't waste your time and money taking lessons from someone that can't deliver what you are looking to accomplish. I believe you will be very pleased with your guitar progress if you decide to take lessons from Steve; I have personal knowledge of at least five persons of all ages taking lessons with him now and many others he has helped with various playing issues. If you need guitar lesson, Steve's your guy.

What makes a good song? Everything and nothing.

Having the musical basics will help get your creative ideas out better. I can help you with that. Assessment of what is good and what's not is subjective, but I can help you with that too. I can't make you famous but I can help you write and build a catalog that you will proud to pitch.

I am most happy to write a review for Dustin who I have found very professional, thorough, patient and fun to work with. His creativity to find ways to work with my learning methods, explain things so I can understand, and his wealth of knowledge and experience makes him a perfect teacher/coach/agent or a number of other skills in his portfolio. A high recommendation from this very satisfied customer. Thanks Dustin.

Brianne is working with my 11 year old daughter on basic vocal training. Brianne is an excellent instructor and vocalist. She has challenged my daughter and yet maintains a very positive attitude. We are thrilled with the lessons and plan to continue with Brianne.

Highly recommend Brianne!

I started taking piano lessons with Brianne a little over two months ago, and I have seen a huge improvement in my performance and confidence. Brianne is very professional and experienced, and she knows exactly what she's talking about. My favorite thing about the lessons is that she is takes time to get to know her students to find out exactly what their goals are and what they hope to get out of the lessons. I came in with some piano experience and an idea of what I wanted, and she was able to customize my lessons so that they perfectly fit me. Brianne is very encouraging and wants you to succeed. I would definitely recommend taking lessons from her!

I've learned soo much in such a short time

i've always wanted to learn how to play the piano but I never could find the right teacher. Brianne has really helped me find my place as a budding piano player. She is very thorough and makes learning fun. She creates such a calm atmosphere with no judgment and i really enjoy that. Another thing that separates her from the other teachers i've had is that she doesn't teach based on her agenda she teaches me what i want to know. I can't wait fro my next lesson!

Songwriting lessons are taught with a good amount of music theory and melody focus. We analyze some of the GREAT songs of our generation and past generations, and we set out to replicate (in our own artistic style, of course) the poetic and melodic genius of those songs.

My experience with Steve has been great, he is wonderfully attentive and intuitive with our daughter who is a beginner with learning to play guitar. She is always excited for him to come teach her and beams with confidence after each lesson. I appreciate his timely communications with me for any questions or rescheduling needed. He lets my husband and I know how to support her with certain skills and practicing etc.
His demeanor and personality is both professional and also very fun and engaging. He's always encouraging our daughter to keep practicing and most of all, enjoying learning guitar! Highly recommend...

Both of my sons have taken lessons from Steve for the past three years. He not only helps sharpen their skills on the acoustic guitar, but has helped my younger son gain confidence and technique as a budding songwriter. He also spends time with my older son teaching him about recording technology. Steve is trained in many of the different areas of music that my sons are interested in and they look forward to his weekly visits. He interacts with them on their level and makes each lesson challenging and fun. We highly recommend Steve to students of all ages interested in learning more about music!

Steve does a great job with both myself and also with my 10 year old daughter (who struggles practicing). I love the ability to practice and play songs that I choose. I also like that Steve has a very easygoing demeanor in lessons so he keeps everything loose, especially when you're struggling as a new guitarist.
Georgia E. Nashville, TN

I have developed and taught songwriting/arranging courses professionally for the past two years, both privately and for classroom settings.
I teach students how to write music intentionally, develop a sense of craftsmanship through study of other composers, and express their true voice.
My goal for each student is to help them develop a body of work they are proud of. I can teach young children through FUN exploration, or older teenagers preparing professional portfolios for college. Having graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Songwriting, I have a good sense of what professional writing colleges are looking for. Whatever the student's objective, I will help them discover their own power! Recording demos and writing sheet music are a part of the curriculum.

About Georgia

Hi! My name is Georgia E. I have been teaching private lessons for the past five years in Boston, and have recently relocated to Nashville. I went to Berklee College of Music with a degree in Songwriting and teach voice, guitar, bass, music theory, and songwriting. I have enjoyed watching my young students go from beginners to advanced musicians in their age groups, write songs, and thrive in performances. I believe in exploration as a road to mastery, and as such, much of my lessons revolve around age and skill appropriate projects that I coach the students through. These have included all-original albums, recordings of covers, recitals, and student-planned concerts. My approach is to empower young students, and show them the joy and focus that goes into making music.

Georgia is passionate about music and her enthusiasm and energy are displayed at every lesson. She entices the children to explore a variety of music styles and encourages them to be creative. What I mostly love about Georgia is her natural ability to connect with the children. She not only teaches the fundamental techniques required, but encourages them to explore their own interest and style while developing their knowledge base of music theory.

I witnessed my children mature as little musicians and thrive under her direction. I have seen them flourish and become confident with every piece they play. I can’t thank Georgia enough for the great work she has done. I have seen my youngest daughter go from never having picked up a guitar to now singing and playing everything from Katie Perry to Elvis Presley, and Gypsy Jazz is her new found passion!
