Kristin has been teaching piano and voice for over ten years. Most recently she was on the faculty at the International Opera Center of America where she taught piano for singers. Kristin taught both group and private lessons at the MusicTime School in San Francisco, CA where she was best known for her innovative work combining fun activities with learning, creating an excitement for music in many young piano and voice students.
Kristin began her piano studies at the age of 3 and her vocal studies at 10. Kristin's most recent success as Florence Pike in the opera Albert Herring was produced by Maestro Lorin Maazel with the London Royal College of Music at Chateauville, VA. The company subsequently replicated some of the opera, in a concert version, with Marvin Hamlisch at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Last year, the mezzo-soprano was a Resident Artist with the International Opera Center of America where she dazzled the audience in the title role of Carmen and sparkled as Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor.
Kristin was first recognized as a youngster with an extraordinary voice. By thirteen, she had developed to a performance level that merited an invitation to tour throughout Germany. Following High School graduation, Kristin received a scholarship to attend Oberlin Conservatory. She completed her Bachelor of Music Degree in Voice Performance at Oberlin and then obtained a Master of Music Degree from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Kristin then joined the Central Florida Lyric Opera's young artist program in Orlando and began studying with Maestro Bill Doherty.
Early in her career, Kristin was honored to be chosen as an Apprentice Artist with Des Moines Metro Opera and debuted in the leading role as
Miss Baggott in The Little Sweep by Benjamin Britten. In 2007 Kristin toured Italy in a concert production by Il Sempre Magico Baule, the Italian Opera Company based near Milan. Her performances were so successful that she was called back to perform the Pergolesi Stabat Mater with the company which garnered the highest critical acclaim and played to sold out audiences. Kristin returned to her scenes of triumph for a summer 2008 concert tour with La Scala artist Andrea Elena.

I started my musical training as a pianist at YAMAHA institute at age 4 in Japan. I was selected to enter perfect pitch class. It was designated for students who have perfect pitch and potentials to be professional musicians.
I enjoyed playing piano and electric piano and won the 1st prize at Kitakantou Electric Piano Competition hosted by YAMAHA institute. Because of the intensive training, I have been accompanying my students' recitals and performance exams.
As much as I enjoyed playing piano, I discovered that I also love singing, so I started to take singing lessons and majored in vocal performance during my college days.
Since I have graduated, I have been performing opera professionally. My career highlights include roles as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) with Opera Manhattan Studio, Frasquita (Carmen) with One World Symphony, Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Clorinda (La Cenerentola) with Capitol Heights Opera, Alice (Le comte Ory) with West Side Opera Society, Adele (Die Fledermaus), Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), and Myrrhine (Lysistrata) with Opera Avanti, Gilda (Rigoletto) with Académie Internationale d'Eté de Nice, and The First Spirit (Die Zauberflöte) with the Opera Company of Brooklyn.
My international credits include studies at the Académie Internationale d'Eté de Nice, France; the Daniel Ferro Vocal Program in Chianti, Italy; the International Vocal Arts Institute in Tel Aviv, Israel; and an appearance at the Young Artist Concert Series in Tokyo, Japan.
As a versatile singer, I was presented as an aspiring opera singer on the website of Maybelline New York. My voice was featured in short films for NEC, the Japanese technology company.
I was also a finalist at the Opera Idol Competition at Lincoln Center, the Hariclea Darclée Voice Competition in Romania, and the Mario Lanza and Elaine Malbin Vocal Competition.
Besides being an opera singer, I have been teaching piano and voice for 9 years and would like to share my skills and experience with you. Since I perform often, I can coach you how to perform on stage in addition to building solid technique and languages. Also, I have taught various kinds of music, such as Rock, Broadway musicals, Pop music, so we can work on all kind of music.
I look forward to teaching you soon!

Hi everyone! My name is Ben and I recently moved to New York City after completing my Masters of Music degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. While in the Southeast, I had incredible success performing leading roles in musical theater and operatic repertoire. At the same time, I held a voice and piano studio of 10 students and each student saw marked improvement within just a few lessons. In the summer of 2010, I worked in Red Mountain Theatre Company’s production of The Sound of Music based out of Birmingham, AL. I performed Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi and Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at the Harrower Summer Opera Workshop, both directed by Carroll Freeman in 2011 and 2012, where I also participated in opera scenes from Pique Dame, Lakmé, and L’Italiana in Algeri. During the Harrower Summer Opera Workshop, I received private coachings from faculty at the Juillard School, University of the Bahamas, and Maestro Frank Hube from Germany. I have performed with the Georgia State University Opera Theater as Kaspar in Amahl in the Night Visitors, Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro, Laurie in Little Women, and Peter Quint in Turn of the Screw. I also appeared as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni directed by W. Dwight Coleman at Valdosta State University. I am a recent Grand Prize-1st Place recipient of the GA-NATS Musical Theatre Award and the Graduate Level Men Classical Voice Award and I have recently returned home from a musical exchange program at Renmin University, China.
As you can see, I am well versed in many different styles of performing and I will do my best to share my knowledge that I've gained from my experiences. I promise that in my lessons, you will discover your voice and have tons of fun doing it!!!

Hi! My name is Allison and I'm an opera singer. I fell madly in love with music and singing as a young child and was bitten by the opera bug at age 15. Ever since seeing that first opera, I've never looked back. I did lead roles in my high school musicals, then got my Bachelor of Music and my Master of Music degrees in Classical Voice and Opera Performance both from competitive conservatories. Ever since graduation, I've been lucky enough to make my work as a professional singer. I've traveled all over the country and even internationally bringing this amazing art form to audiences. Now I feel like my dream has come true because I get to do what I love: sing! Pavarotti said, "I think a life in music is a life beautifully spent and this is what I have devoted my life to." I feel so lucky to have a life in music and now I want to share everything I've learned with you.

I began singing before I could even walk. I started choir when I was eight years old and never left. In high school I was part of the auditioned jazz choir, Soprano I section leader, assistant vocal coach and vice president of the TRI-M music honor society. In my senior year I was president of the drama club and played Mrs. Potts in "Beauty and the Beast". I have performed several times in the All-County chorus as well as at the Kennedy Space Center and Universal Studios in Orlando. Now I am a Music Education major at Adelphi University where I participate in the Opera Workshop! My students always come first and I strive to give them everything they need to succeed as musicians.
"Steven is very professional and extremely helpful. He always has a smile on and is serious about helping you phrase the music. I would highly recommend him to anyone."
"It's been really exciting so far! Jordan has been so helpful, so knowledgeable. I could not have found a better instructor and I'm getting better and better every day."
"My daughter's wedding was weeks away and I had never been able to dance a step. With Jenny's help, I came further than ever before in such short time in any subject."
