About Heather

More important than my conservatory education and my teaching and performance experiences is my passion for teaching music and my undying belief that anyone can learn to sing, play piano, and read music. I'm a graduate of the prestigious Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey and a winner of its merit scholarship.

After performing with the New York and Royal Philharmonics, the New Jersey and Virginia Symphonies, the American Boy Choir and the internationally renowned opera star, Andrea Bocelli, studying opera and piano at Westminster Choir College and performance art and improvisational acting at East Carolina University in North Carolina, and appearing in shows and pageants across the east coast, I found my life's work in 2003 when I began teaching music. ...

I received singing lessons as a 65th Birthday gift and I have been thrilled with the results. Heather has been wonderful. I really appreciate her teaching me the "why" of things such as the anatomy of singing.

She is so encouraging and enthusiastic. I have not joined the church choir - but I may :)

Outstanding!

My 7 year old daughter tremendously enjoys her lessons with Heather. She has shown continual improvement and has pure joy when it's time for a lesson. Heather has done an excellent job of keeping her excited while teaching her about singing and reading music. I know it is sometimes hard to keep young minds interested over a period of time but Heather has proven that to be a non issue.

We love Heather! WOW! We were really surprised how amazing she is! My 16 year son was very apprehensive in getting a new piano teacher. He really enjoys the lessons and he has already improved in just a few lessons. She is very patient, upbeat, cool and funny. She is very gifted...

Excellent teacher--highly recommended

We are so glad we found Eric! After trying (and failing) with two other drum coaches who lacked a crucial requirement--in one case, depth of knowledge, and in another case, patience--my son has been taught by Eric for three years and has become an excellent drummer. Eric is highly knowledgeable, very patient, and a great communicator. He is the best music teacher we've found (and that includes three music teachers we used for another child, who took lessons for several instruments). Eric is also very knowledgeable about several other instruments. You cannot find a better music teacher than Eric!
