Hi! My name's Megan. I play piano, sing, and play guitar. I'm about to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with piano as my main instrument. I've been teaching music privately for a year now and have experience working with kids and adults alike. I love music and love to share my passion with others. It is my experience that no matter what kind of music you end up playing a solid classical piano background is invaluable. I was privately trained in classical piano from the ages 5 - 17 in Los Angeles, California. My teachers were Mary Brady, Mae Gilbert Reese and Jeane Weiss. I graduated from Harvard High School and then graduated from UCLA with BA in art. I am a Los Angeles based artist and composer. Recently I was nominated Best Music Director of the year by the L.A. Weekly for my work on 'Head the Musical' at the Met Theater Los Angeles in 2010. I am currently mounting an opera I wrote at the Met Theater. I have been teaching private piano lessons to students ages 8 to adult for the last six years.

My experience as a musical director has honed my skills as a good communicator and teacher. I know how to get people trained and motivated to perform on stage with confidence no matter what their skill level.

I have taught voice for over twenty years. I studied music at University of California, Santa Barbara, where I received my B.A. I currently work as a professional singer for various local opera companies, music theater groups, churches and temples. I am principal soprano for Opera A La Carte and have also soloed with Repertory Opera Company, Redlands Bowl Festival, Laguna Beach Chorale and Celestial Opera Company. I have worked extensively in Los Angeles schools performing musical assemblies for students in elementary and middle grades through Southland Opera, LA Opera and Guild Opera of Southern California. My teaching experience includes private voice lessons and master classes at Idyllwild School for the Arts.

A lover of cats, kids, and music, Molly started taking Suzuki violin lessons at age six, finishing all ten books before finishing high school. She added guitar, guitar variants (ukulele, cuatro, tiple), and percussion during her Master’s degree in ethnomusicology at U.T. Austin and began teaching world music, piano, and theory at L.A. Trade Tech College in 2002. performing for several years with the Cal Arts Balinese gamelan, Burat Wangi.

Molly moved to New York to perform with the local chamber pop ensemble Kotorino in 2008 and it was there that she started teaching individual lessons on violin and guitar before moving back to her natal LA and taking the Suzuki book 1 training with Liz Arbus. I grew up in Los Angeles and went on to attend the University of Redlands .While at University, I played in the University Orchestra and a variety of other ensembles. In addition to violin, I also studied jazz guitar, so classical music is definitely not the only musical style I am familiar with.

I am lucky enough to study with Jeanne Skrocki, who is currently the Concertmaster of the Redlands Symphony Orchestra and the Assistant Concertmaster of the Pacific Symphony.

My musical experience with violin is not confined to classical! I also have experience with other styles, including Irish folk music and bluegrass. While classical is my bread and butter, I can take a more rounded approach in terms of exposure to musical styles if desired.

Tough to remember a time in my life before some sort of musical training, starting with the private guitar lessons twelve years ago. Since then I've made my way around Los Angeles playing mandolin with Bluegrass, Folk Rock, and Celtic groups as well as solo and chamber classical repertoire in the university setting on both mandolin and guitar. I'm currently studying in the MAP program at CalArts, designed for multi-instrumentalists, and hope to pass on the passion for music that was instilled in me through those weekly lessons I took growing up.

An Ohio-born baritone, David has always had a passion for music and singing. Strongly influenced by the musical pursuits of his older brother, David began playing the piano at age six and was captivated by the school musicals his brother starred in, as well as by the musical Disney movies popular at the time. David also showed aptitude as a young singer. He was frequently chosen as a soloist for grade school productions, and he would often compete in OMEA adjudicated events, receiving the highest scores possible.

David's professional singing career began in high school after receiving recognition from singing the National Anthem at home basketball games, which were always highly-attended. He was soon being paid to sing at local holiday festivals and other community events, where attendance was often in the thousands. Notably, David won first place in both state-wide and international talent competitions for his performance of "If Ever I Would Leave You" from the musical Camelot....

Ever since I received my first drum set from my family at age 8 I've been studying and playing percussion and drums. Immediately it became one of my passions in life.


In elementary school I expanded my musical circle and met friends who I still play music with today. I played drums for bands in elementary, middle, and high school, including the school jazz ensembles, jazz club, high school marching band, and Camerata (advanced boys & girls choir). I have also been part of various orchestras, concert bands, alternative, rock, jazz, and even metal ensembles with original music.

I am a professional voice teacher, professional singer and master yoga teacher. I have been drumming for 11 years, performing, recording, and touring. My career started in San Francisco in High School performing in local venues and music festivals, with a Garage/Punk band. Then began performing in a jazz/funk band in SF and surrounding bay area cities. Congruently, I started performing, recording and touring with an Indie/pop band. Making records and touring nationally. Thereafter, I moved to LA to begin the next phase of my career. Teaching, Performing, Recording and Touring.
