Jill holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and has master's work in choral music. For many years she has taught private and group music lessons to all ages and many varying styles of singing and instrumental music. Her lessons are unlike the ones she remembers from childhood; Jill's lessons are full of creativity, fun and excitement. It is amazing how students improve with each lesson. Jill brings more than just technique to the studio, she strives to find the best in each student and then concentrates on improving each individual's strengths and then delves into ways to correct the weaknesses.
Since Jill is a vocal soloist, instrumentalist, accompanist and director, she knows what it takes to prepare and rehearse and therefore she makes it clear which concept the student will be working on during the lesson. With an instrumental and choral background, Jill brings music to life and then shares with the students how to keep music in their lives forever. Many students who had vocal problems have achieved vocal success after taking several lessons with Jill and learning to keep their voices healthy for the rest of their lives.
Jill has worked with children, teens and adults in many schools, churches and after school programs that she designed. Her success with students who are very young or students who come with disabilities or autistic spectrum diagnosis are moved by the music Jill creates. With the help of the ORFF-SCHULWERK certification, Jill has many ways of reaching children through the use of instruments, rhythm activities, games and other fun ways of learning. Breaking barriers is Jill's best asset, she will not quit until the student has an understanding of the instrument or his/her voice.
The young and the older adults find that taking lessons with Jill has brought them to a place of realizing their potential. Successful stories include pre-school age through students who are retired. The length of time one studies depends on the student's practice and diligence. Many students have started with Jill in preschool or elementary school and have continued through high school and college. Several college age students wanted to improve their singing or instrumental skills so goals were set and met through Jill's successful teaching ability.
Many of Jill's students have become better musicians and many have chosen music professions for their careers. Several students have won contests, auditioned for parts in musicals, started local bands and have become songwriters and performers after taking lessons with Jill.

Jill's teaching technique is flexible. Some students require a stern and strict approach while others seem to work best with more creative license. Jill is open to each student's needs. When booking lessons with Jill, one will find that the first thing she will do is find out more about the student's needs and desires to succeed in their chosen instrument.
Because of her flexible approach, method books vary depending on the student's need to succeed. Sometimes young students will need to review several beginning methods until their reading skills are achieved. For the young students, Jill teaches theory and gives the young students time during the lesson to explore musical symbols and try their hands at improvisation, rhythms, manuscripts and creativity.
Some students may desire to learn to play "by ear" or through improvisational skills. Jill is very good with improv and her song writing skills are strong. When a student desires to write music, Jill is there to help with questions about time signatures, note values, key signatures and transpositions.
Taking lessons with Jill is a journey that those who have tried have not had regrets. Several parents and past students would be happy to tell you how their talents and gifts improved after working with Jill for a few months. After three months of working together, Jill will know how to pursue the student's musical career. After 6 months the student will be able to play complete songs and have a sense of basic music theory. The hope is for the student to be confident of their instrument's abilities.
Several of Jill's students have taken their skills, gifts and talents to the professional level. Students who have studied with Jill are professional music directors in high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, churches, soloists and some who are in school studying music as their major. My specialty in voice comes from years of lessons and experience. I use many methods and books to bring out various ideas to learn to sing correctly. I take each individual at his/her level and try to improve breathing technique, posture, enunciation with style and phrasing, depending on the student's aspirations.
Jill plays most instruments including piano, guitar, bass guitar, band instruments, ukulele, banjo, dulcimer, drums and violin. Jill enjoys many styles of music and she has played with many bands and groups throughout her musical career. She is a full time musician, music teacher and music director. Years of experience traveling the U.S. with bands, choirs and ensembles enables Jill to work well with many styles of music including contemporary, rock, Christian, Broadway, classical, country, bluegrass, jazz and blues.
I am a music educator. I received my Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of Central Florida in 2011.
My higher education started in the Fall of 2006 when I began attending Daytona Beach Community College. My two years there were spent fully engaged in all activities. I finished my GED requirements while participating in many ensembles like the Ormond Beach Symphony Orchestra, Daytona Beach Community College Concert Band, Brass Ensemble, Falcon Pans (steel drum ensemble), Pit Orchestra for musicals, and Choir. All of these ensembles helped me increase my awareness of many different teaching and directing styles. I enjoyed participating in the college’s annual Medieval Yuletide Feast while playing the trombone, tuba, and singing in the choir. These experiences augmented my ability to manage my time while having the opportunity to go to school.
Almost every summer since 2005 my church has help send me to Port-du-paix, Haiti, for two weeks at a time. There we are encouraged to do many things involving teaching children, feeding the elderly and needy, and meeting new people that have made a difference in each of our lives. One of the opportunities I had during the summer of 2006 was helping teach two rehearsals of a small brass ensemble. The teacher who was heading the project had brought many donated instruments with her from Kentucky, and distributed them to the students prior to my arrival. She didn't know much about brass instruments (saxophonist), so I got to step in and take the players aside to teach the basics. Even though there was a language barrier, I was able to communicate using hand gestures, my little knowledge of Creole, and the universal language of music. This was one of the best times I have had in my life.
Another great accomplishment I have had is being a contra player in the Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps for the 2008 season. This opportunity ensured my discipline to tough through hard. The sole act of carrying a brass instrument that weighs over 25 lbs around all summer is a difficult task, but I had a lot of fun doing it. I also got to meet many people all over the United States that play the same instrument I do and have a similar life as mine. We had the overall score of fifth place, but our hard work and perseverance is obvious in our finals performance video.
I am a proud sister of Sigma Alpha Iota. I have held important positions including Corresponding Secretary and have headed many chair positions. The sisters of Zeta Tau are a very supportive group full of diversity. Having our weekly meetings and formal business meetings keep me up to date with Robert’s Rules of Order. I have transferred the things I have learned from these meetings to other organizations like CMENC. At the time when I was leaving the college level, I receive the Sword of Honor from our province officer. Every Spring I attend FMEA in Tampa. I made many very important connections with other educators and soon to be educators.
I also taught three years at a Title I elementary school in Osceola County, FL. It was a very tough three years, but I am grateful for all of the strategies and steps I've learned to make me a better teacher. In my second year at the school, I received the honor of being voted Teacher of the Year for our school. That was such a humbling time in my career.

I am a certified music teacher in the state of Florida k-12 (ESOL Certified). When it comes to the instruments I teach, my specialization is low brass (I am a tuba player), and the rest I have taught up to an intermediate level.
Orlando-based composer and guitarist Damien has made a name for himself as a writer of scores for film, theater and dance productions.;A graduate of Music Composition at SUNY Purchase (New York) and Musicology at the University College of Dublin (Ireland). Years of touring internationally and score writing has given Damien the experience and work ethic to share his musical knowledge and abilities with others. Producing 4 cds and appearing on countless others' cds and compilations; Damien can share not only his musical/theoretical talents, but his experience in producing, recording, writing, and performing live.

Damien is a very patient and moderately, laid back teacher. He will teach what you want to learn, yet give you suggestions on other avenues to approach. Basics lead to complete knowledge of any subject. Starting from the beginning of what a student knows and moving forward step by step will only lead to perfection in their lessons. Having fun doing this, is the only way to keep a student focused and progressing. Enjoyment is the number one focus of Damien's lessons. If a student isn't enjoying and having fun with their lessons then they will not progress.
Damien teaches ages of 5-99. You are never too young or old to learn. Damien's main focus is guitar and music theory

I'm Laurie, a very passionate ukulele singer, guide, and artist since 2008. I honor each person's unique style and interest. I'm not teaching lessons just so people can perform, but so they can create a special bond with their instruments and canvases and their own style. We are all unique in how we create...so I want to watch that unfold. I'll go over all the basics and then we'll have fun! Each lesson will be a new experience and I will be allowing the student to guide and teach me ~ it's a team effort!
I LOVE children and have a background teaching Music Together classes as well as nannying my niece who was born with special needs. Depending on the needs, I would love to make myself available as I feel music is the best therapy for all of us.
I also offer sound healing sessions, on this site it is called Music Therapy. I own a few therapeutic instruments ~ a singing bowl, a reverie harp (anyone can play), drums, shakers, and a native american flute. I like to let these sessions have a life of their own so I do not plan...however we will use all the instruments so the person can feel the differences that each sound gives them.
I am in a wheelchair so traveling to other homes can be an issue if it is hard for me to get inside. I prefer to meet in accessible areas, open my home, or do lessons online when I am traveling. I want to be as available to you as I possible can! I'm excited! HOORAY

I am from Panama City, FL. I went to Troy University on a music scholarship in 2009. Throughout my college education I taught several students how to play the guitar, tuba, and euphonium. I was also a music theory tutor. I studied conducting and composition in my last two years of college. I graduated with a degree in music in 2013. I moved to Orlando to start my job as a music librarian for the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra where I continue to work.

Hi! I'm Leandra :) I'm from Long Island NY, and I've been singing since the age of 3. I started singing in the choir at my church and after that I fell in love with music. I started taking private voice lessons at 11 years old and I earned many honors and achievements for my singing. I went on to study at the Long Island High School for the Arts , then went to Berklee College of Music where I studied vocal performance. I find a lot of joy in teaching my students how to sing and be confident performers. I started teaching music since 2011 and have loved it ever since. I have a kind and understanding approach when it comes to my way of teaching. All I want for my students is to have fun and express themselves!
