About Anna

Hi, my name is Anna. As an orphan, I grew up in Hungary in a foster home. At a very young age I was already exposed to music. It kind of blew me away. I didn't know how something could be so beautiful, and it was like a miracle for me. Then and there, I knew that something special was waiting for me ahead. When I was 3, I didn't talk for a long time, but I did do one thing: sing. At that point my life has totally changed. I began my long journey. My foster parents got me in to a music school, called Janos Patzay Music School. I knew immediately what I wanted to be. I built my whole life on music. It always filled up a very special place in my heart,it still does, and it always will. I started to learn the violin when I was 5 years old. Being in a music environment always gave me ...

Anna has a wonderful rapport with our son. This, I'm certain, has greatly improved the quality of the lesson and his willingness to practice. In the very short time (year and a half) that he's been taking violin, he is playing better than many of the longer studied kids in his string orchestra at school, due to the tutelage of Anna.

We have been very impressed with Anna and have also received feedback from our son's orchestra instructor that she must be fantastic based on the progress our son has made over the last school year. Thank you, Anna, for all of the encouragement and instruction you've given to our son.
Kathryn T. Brighton, MA

I like to focus on music theory and reading skills, in addition to developing musicality from the first lesson. I also play electric violin and can help you to set up virtual or analogue rigs to get the best sound.

I am an adult learner and wanted a teacher that did not treat me like a child. Erin is a great teacher and treats me like an adult. She helps me to attain my goals and works at my pace. She encourages me especially when I don't think I can do a particular piece or perform at a recital. I know she can take me through to any level I want to accomplish on the violin.

Erin is an awesome teacher. Jazmin, my daughter, has been playing cello for almost 2 years and was having a rough time, losing interest and motivation.Erin was of tremendous help. She immediately connected with my daughter, who needed a little push to keep going after we moved to a rural area and she left her friends behind, got her motivated again to start playing and now she is back at school where she will be part of the orchestra once again. Thank you very much for all your help,Erin!

If you are searching for an outstanding violin teacher, I highly recommend Helena.  Her students benefit from her many years of teaching and performing experience as well as her extensive educational background.  When you learn musical pieces with Helena she teaches proper technique with just the right amount of music theory to produce well-rounded musicians.  Some of her best qualities are her great abundance of patience that she mixes with professionalism, kindness, a sense of humor, and a great deal of encouragement.  Helena is certainly a violin teacher you will be glad you found. Beginner Adult

Helena continues to me the best choice for me as an adult beginner on the violin. She is patient, knowledgable and I can't praise her enough. She knows just when I need the encouragement we beginners need. Very happy to have found her.
Elicia R. Aston, PA

Typically, I use the Suzuki and Strictly Strings books for beginner students, and I will then advance to etude studies such as Wolfarht and Sevick in addition to the Suzuki sequels for my intermediate students. Lastly, I will add Introducing the Positions, Mazas, Josephine Trott Double Stops, and solo concertos to my advanced students.

About Elicia

I began violin lessons at age five, and was requested by the youth conductor to join the Palm Beach Youth Symphony a year later. For eight consecutive years, I performed with many other youth orchestras and served as concert mistress several times. At the age of thirteen, I auditioned for and joined The Venice Symphony during the 2004-2005 season and was a part of their ensemble for seven consecutive seasons, including the position as assistant principal. In addition to the Venice Symphony, I have also performed with the Sarasota Pops for two seasons, The South Shore Symphony Orchestra as assistant concert mistress and as concert mistress, and Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus and Orchestra. Recently, I relocated to the South Philly and am now performing with the Delaware County Symphony ...

I've only just completed my 3rd lesson, but I've already improved a good deal.

Elicia is very good at being able to keep an eye and ear on how you're playing and giving you advice at how to play better or what to correct. She's also very flexible in how she teaches - whether it's more streamlined or casual lessons, she helps your improve either way.

Cecilia P. Chicago, IL

I have been teaching violin for almost 10 years. Violin is my main specialty as a performer and as a teacher.
This lessons are intended for beginners, intermediate or advanced violin students who wish to learn and become better violinists or musicians.
I usually use the Suzuki Method or the Mark O'Connor (fiddle music) method to start and in time I gradually mix them with scales and technique books. In addition I create my own material based on the needs of each student.
My main goal is to create better human beings through music, but I make sure my students have a solid training that will allow them to continue with music in the long term if that is what they want.
Very good quality players with a lot of joy and fun!

About Cecilia

I am a South-american violinist and violin-music teacher who loves music, dancing, arts, nature, and animals. I am a social, kind, caring, persevere and self-disciplined person.

I started teaching 9 years ago when I was studying my Bachelor'€™s degree. In my country, I was the teacher of 25 lovely children and youth, with whom I created my own violin studio. It started only with 3 students, and after 7 years we were a wonderful group that performed in different recitals, festivals and trips around our country. Together we learned about violin, classical music, popular music, folk music, singing, etc., but most importantly we learned about sensitivity, sharing, self-discipline, respect, creativity and many other personal skills that music helps us learn in such a joyful way.

Cecilia was an absolutely amazing violin teacher! She not only had a great method of teaching, but she would treat me not only like a student, but like a friend. She always took special time to address the issues I was having while playing, and carefully adjust my method to ensure better playing. She allowed me to rent one of her violins and gave me the best advice on everything one would need to know about caring for a violin. She even guided me through the process of bringing the violin on an airplane when I traveled. I would definitely recommend Cecilia for violin lessons (or any type of lesson!) because she is such an amazing teacher!!
