I began taking drum lessons at a very early age and continued on and off with various teachers for the better part of twenty years. I will always be grateful to them for the knowledge and wisdom they imparted on me and for the positive influence they have had on my life, especially the ones with whom I really bonded and who were essentially mentors to me while I studied with them.

As a teacher, there is no better feeling than seeing a student make progress and knowing that you helped him or her along the way, while at the same time not taking the credit, as it is always the student who has the harder job, who must do the real work. I always feel tremendous satisfaction when a student masters a difficult rudimentary exercise for the first time, or is able to execute a challenging rhythm pattern on the drum set. The expression on their faces often conveys pride over their achievement, and I can often sense a boost in their self-esteem. This is why I teach.

Patrick has been playing music all his life. As a child he used to beat on pots and pans with cooking utensils. Not much has changed, as those same pots and pans are still his favorite instrument. In the course of his life he has studied every genre of music conceivable including rock, metal, flamenco, classical, jazz, country, Latin, ska, fusion, Indian Carnatic music, and everything in between. Constantly evolving, Patrick is always learning different instruments. To date he has experience playing violin, piano, trumpet, guitar, bass, lute, cornetto, drums, and pedal steel. He has aspirations to learn the sitar, tablas, and sarangi next.

Patrick earned a masters degree in information technology from the University of Florida. I started playing the drums at the age of ten and have been playing for over thirty years. I played snare drum and bass drum in symphonic band in junior high and high school. I played in the Drum and Bugle Corps while in the Air Force. We marched in parades and won several awards for excellence. I have played in three Christian bands and one rock band. I have also played drumkit and percussion in church for several years.

This real world experience of playing with live musicians in different settings allows me to show students what does and does not work well with playing the drumkit. Whether you have dreams of playing in a touring rock band, playing in church, or just jam out with your favorite songs, I can help you reach your drumming goals.

Jill holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and has master's work in choral music. For many years she has taught private and group music lessons to all ages and many varying styles of singing and instrumental music. Her lessons are unlike the ones she remembers from childhood; Jill's lessons are full of fun and excitement each week. It is amazing how students react to Jill's great humor and the lessons certainly prove that learning is a process. Jill brings more than just technique to the studio.

Having been a soloist herself, Jill knows what it takes to prepare and rehearse and therefore she makes it clear which concept the student will learn each week. I've been playing drums and percussion since the age of 13, and teaching as soon as I graduated high school. I have studied and performed on all manner of percussion instruments, with emphasis on Rudimental Drumming and Drumset. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music from Rollins College, and my Master's Degree in Music from the University of Florida, and outside of the world of academia I've played with Orchestras, Drum Corps, Indoor Drumlines, Rock, Jazz, and Steel Bands, as well as all manner of Wind and Percussion Ensembles.

Music isn't just a career choice: it is a way of life. I have been playing music since I was a toddler; everything I have learned about life has been through music. I believe that self-expression is important to being confident with yourself. I look forward to sharing my passion for music and teaching with any students who are ready to learn!

I hold a Bachelor's of Music Education from Long Island University. I am a fully certified teacher in Florida and New York. My previous teaching experience includes being a lead music teacher at a charter school in New York, and a band director in a middle school in Palm Beach County. I have been teaching private music lessons since 2006. My performace background includes being in an Army band based out of New York City for eight years where I was a section leader. I have been in multiple bands which have toured the Northeast from Deleware to Maine, with a focus on New York City. With my classical training, and my real world performance experience in every genre from jazz to rock to funk, I bring a lot to the table in my lessons. Adam C. is an active musician and music instructor in and around the Tampa Bay Area. He has a B.S. in Music Education and has experience in just about any type of drumming you can think of. Additionally, Adam teaches piano, guitar, music theory, music studio and songwriting.

Currently Adam is working on a Christian songwriting and band project for the purpose of communicating the Gospel to those who've not heard.
