About Moe

Since becoming a piano teacher in 1992, Moe has taught over 222 students with varying ages and ability levels. Moe received his B.A. in Music at New Jersey City University and is a member of various music associations including: the Suzuki Association of the Americas and Music Teacher National Association (MTNA). Moe specializes in Suzuki and traditional methods. The Suzuki method emphasizes the parent involvement, repetition, encouragement, and early beginnings. A child is never too young to enjoy the beauty the music. Musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed. Any child who is properly trained can develop musical ability, just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. The potential of every child is unlimited.- Dr. Suzuki

Christina M. Haskell, NJ

About Christina

Greetings! My name is Christina and I am a recent Rutgers University graduate with a double major in both music and economics. I have had over 12 years of private training in piano, with additional experience in violin, orchestra, choir and various performance-related events. Over the years I have studied with numerous pianists and incorporated many different methods and techniques that have greatly influenced my own teaching. I have been teaching music lessons to both children and adults since high school, and am comfortable teaching any age. I do believe that a solid foundation in any instrument begins with music theory, and it is something I incorporate little by little into each lesson; however, it is very important to me that the learning process be enjoyable, and I strive to ...

I'm an older student who always wanted to take piano lessons but never could (until now). Christina was worth the wait. She challenges me just enough so that I'm eager to practice, so I look forward to my piano lesson all week. My daughters are even playing again and piano music has once again filled our house. Wonderful!

Chris B. Pompton Plains, NJ

About Chris

My name is Chris B. and I've been playing music for most of my life. I started playing guitar when I was in my early teens and, like most kids, just thought it would be cool to play in a band and have fun. Along with my brother Jon (on drums), we immediately started to jam with some neighborhood friends and quickly honed our cover song skills. We then progressed towards writing original music and eventually formed a new band. As time went on, we both started listening to more complex styles of music and spent countless hours improving upon our playing chops to match the advanced techniques of our favorite musicians. The best lesson I've learned is that a musician is never done learning. Once you start believing that you know everything there is to know about your instrument, or ...

Chris is a fantastic teacher. His approach to teaching makes sense and is very effective. My son is 10 and immediately had an excellent rapor with Chris.
Chris explained that he has several different ways of teaching and he tailors it to the child's experience and personality. Listening to him teach is pretty amazing. I want to video tape it and show it to the world. As you can see...we just think he's great!

I love taking lessons with Chris! He has the best way of explaining concepts and theory so that it is easy for someone like me, with no background in music, to understand. He's always professional, on time for lessons, and customizes my lessons based on songs I want to learn. Any student is lucky to have him as a teacher :)

Chris has been giving acoustic guitar lessons to my 10 year old daughter for several months now. He is great at communicating with her and is very encouraging and patient. He chose very relevant songs for her that she really enjoys learning and practicing. Each week he builds on the techniques he taught her previously and we can see real progress! I highly recommend Chris!
