Lucian W is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music in Boston and former faculty member of the Hartford Conservatory. His vocal studies have been with Jacqueline Jarrett and David Baker in Connecticut, Jane Ellison at Loyola University in Montreal, noted operatic tenor Carmine Gagliardi in New York City, and Gina Moretta (whose students have included Gloria Estefan and Jon Secada) in Miami. He studied privately with world famous jazz guitarists George Benson and Chuck Wayne and has had a full time performing career of several decades as a guitarist, pianist, vocalist, bassist, arranger and orchestra leader.

I hold a master's degree in music, with an emphasis in music therapy from the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. I am a board-certified by a national certifying agency (the CBMT) as a music therapist, with training in neurologic music therapy. I have over 20 years experience as a classically trained pianist. I also play rhythm guitar I have studied voice. I work full time as a music therapist. Consequently, I am able to bring a therapeutic aspect to my lessons in order to fully provide for the needs of my students.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Music from Liberty University, specializing in Church Ministry and Intercultural Studies. I achieved a primary in guitar and a secondary in voice. I have completed all Music Theory and Aural Skills training as well as courses in Arranging, Instrumental Performance, Dynamics of Instrumental Worship, Computer Literacy, and Song Survey/Writing. Currently I am finishing my Master's degree in Ethnomusicology. I have three years of experience teaching and tutoring. I also have almost a decade's worth of experience playing with church music ministries and performing at local venues. I have a great passion for music and teaching. My desire is for my students to find a love for their instrument and their art.

I want to teach you how to express yourself through music. I've been inspired by music since I was young and have been involved in one way or another since I started piano lessons at age 3. I began playing guitar when I was fourteen years old starting with acoustic guitar and shortly there after began playing electric as well. I previously studied music at Broward College and have pursued music independently under the private mentorship and have attended music education seminars around the country.
