I am a Recording Artist who has worked on numerous projects including 2 of my own albums. I've been singing since 1986, graduated from Biola University, CA with a BACE degree (Education) then went on to Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA attending their vocal program and I graduated with vocational Honor.

I've been teaching since 1997, doing both private and group lessons.
I am very good with explaining and working with you to find your voice - how to use them correctly and comfortably.

I also have been involved in Church music - Worship and Praise.

My passion is to teach people how to sing so that they can be happier! :-)

I have been first trained as a professional opera singer as a child in Korea. For many years, I have performed on stage. When I came to America, I have continued to pursue education in voice (and piano) at Troy University and at Baptist College of Florida while seeking other degrees.

In addition to my main focus on vocal training, I am professionally trained to play instruments such as piano, guitar, flute, and violin. I have learned to play piano and guitar to initially accompany my own singing, but I have continued to study these instruments to this day. I have been a main church pianist, wedding pianist, collaboration pianist, and etc. For flute and violin, I have been a member of ensemble groups and orchestra (and symphonic band) and performed on various occasions.

I started playing guitar while in high school. Then, I furthered my studies in guitar at the Atlanta Institute of Music (2 Years) and Georgia Perimeter College (2 Years) where I studied Music Theory and Jazz. It was during these few years when I played in several rock, Bluegrass and Jazz improvisational bands, that played out regularly in Metro-Atlanta. I have also run several "Open Mic Nights" in several restaurants and bars. I have studied with Trey Wright at Kennesaw State University and recently graduated with a B.A. in Jazz Guitar (Summer 2011), with a concentration in Jazz Performance. While at Kennesaw State, I spent 3 years performing in the KSU Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Guitar Ensemble, and Jazz Combo Bands.

I’m a classically trained singer and pianist who is passionate about teaching children music. I’ve received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in vocal performance from Georgia State University and I’m continuing advanced study privately with a professional opera singer here in Atlanta. As for my piano skills, I have received much praise from professional Atlanta pianists including Peter Marshall of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

I consider my approach to teaching both fun and challenging. Students need to realize that with me they will receive training in classical techniques. This means even popular music students (rock and roll, pop, jazz) will have to learn basic techniques grounded in these traditions. Even the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, a premier school for popular musicians, believes in this approach.

I'm a freelance drummer and teacher working in the Gwinnett County area. I have been playing in and around Atlanta since 1979 and moved here in 1981. I have been teaching for the Gwinnett School Of Music since 1997 and currently have 25 full-time students. I continue to perform on a regular basis with several local acts and work a few months a year with a local middle school percussion section. I received an early education in marching and symphonic music under band director John V. Mazza and had the privilege of marching with the 1st place trophy winning Prince George High School Band of Petersburg, Virginia in the 1969 Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena, California. During the 70s I toured throughout the southeast and midwest with a variety of bands based out of Panama City, and Miami, Florida.
