I have been happily playing music for over 12 years now and it has always been the light in my day. Now it is my hope to shed that same light onto you or your child. I have been playing an instrument since the 4th grade (cello) and, as I learned how music works, was slowly able to pick-up a greater variety instruments with an increasing degree of ease. In high school, I decided to pick-up the guitar just to "have fun and rock out". I joined a band, played in the high school orchestra, joined the high school jazz band and began to practice songwriting and cover songs - at this point, guitar had become my primary instrument. Corinne was a vocal director for Rock and Ridicule, a rock and roll musical performed at the Acme Comedy Theatre in Hollywood. In addition to teaching music privately, Corinne substitute teaches piano and voice at the Hermosa Beach School of Dance and Music.

I have been giving voice lessons for the last 6 years. I have taught from Junior High students to adults, new/fresh beginners to intermediate. I am a great encourager and am eager to see you grow in your talents and abilities. I have been singing and receiving private voice lessons since I was 6 yrs. old in church choirs. With a BA in Music, I graduated from William Jessup University, emphasis in voice. From there I went on to teach at a Music Academy and then a music focused college known as "Instituto Canzion". I have received additional instruction from classes and private lessons at Musician's Institute located in Hollywood, CA and continue to gain teaching techniques from their professors. I've been surrounded by music literally my entire life - both of my parents were professional classical violinists, and my first word was "gig." Before taking up guitar, I'd studied piano and cello; as I focused more on guitar, that also led to interests in electronic music, recording production and engineering, and composition. I went on to obtain a BFA in guitar performance, and have been actively playing, writing, recording, and teaching for many years.

For beginning students, I combine basic playing technique with a solid foundation in musical fundamentals, including standard notation, rhythmic reading, and (when useful) tablature. For more advanced students, my specialty is in applying a number of core concepts (including theory, ear training, and technique) to a wide range of musical styles. I'll typically use examples from rock, jazz, and blues as ways of "connecting the dots" between core music concepts and their real-world application.

I'm Nicole and I look forward to working with you! I am a professional drummer/percussionist/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. I studied music at the University of Miami Frost School of music where I received a Bachelor's of Music in Studio Music and Jazz Drum Set Performance. I've performed on Television (Drums, piano, guitar, percussion) on the T.V. shows: "Glee," "Bones," "The Closer," "Oprah." I was the showband drummer on the Norwegian Dawn Cruise Ship in 2006 and the original drummer/percussionist/actor in the Off-Broadway Musical, "Dear Edwina" in New York City.

I grew up in the metro-Detroit suburb of Farmington Hills. After High School, I attended the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. While attending CCM, I was chosen as the 2007 Sisters and Jazz Drummer for IAJE. With this band I toured NYC, Washington DC, and Costa Rica. I finished my Masters degree from the California Institute of the Arts in 2010. I currently maintain an active performance calendar around LA.
I’ve been teaching private drum lessons and group percussion/ jazz classes for over six years. My teaching and playing experience ranges from marching percussion to classical percussion to all styles of drum set. I’ve had many students place in their high school drum lines or jazz bands and be accepted to all-state band/orchestra/jazz bands. I’ve even had a few students go on to major in music in college. (So proud!) I am also a certified hatha yoga instructor. Looking forward to meeting you!

Tony has been performing professionaly for over 35 years. When he arrived in Los Angeles in 1969 he studied guitar with virtuoso Jimmy Stewart. Later, he studied with master guitarist George Van Eps.

Tony played guitar with many top recording artist in the mid 1970's. Later, he started to teach formerly at the John Waltrip Music School in Arcadia California. From then on, he set up "Music With Frets," and began to teach privately.

In addition, he is teaching 6th and 7th grade guitar classes at St. Cyril of Jerusalem School in Encino. Tony is a bonded and certified by the LAPD and FBI. Tony finds it very rewarding in helping beginner and advanced students to learn the beautiful music the guitar can make.

As Tony's teacher, George Van Eps taught him to think of the guitar as a "Lap Piano" so Tony does the same. The guitar is a versatile chordal and melodic instrument, and should be taught as such.

From thereon out, Armen received his B.A.and M.A. degrees from Yerevan State Conservatory in Armenia and Artist diploma from Longy school of Music in Cambridge MA. Let Me tell you a bit about myself:

I have been playing the guitar for over 20 years. I've been trained in Jazz with a very strong musical theory background but my main passion is popular rock music. Music has always been the greatest passion in my life. In addition to the guitar I also play drums, pedal steel, bass, and piano so I have a good idea of how instruments work together to create music.

I've been playing professionally for the past 15 years touring Nationally and Internationally. I've toured with my own original acts as well as a hired lead guitar player for Shooter Jennings and others. I've also been a studio musician for some time now, hired to play on many different artists' recordings.

I've been a recording engineer and producer so I have a well rounded background in many aspects of music.
