About Me

Yuichi H. was born in Tokyo, Japan. His musical career started at age 10 when he performed marimba in a music recital. He started playing drum set at age 14 and joined a wind ensemble, a few rock bands, and a jazz big band. With some of these groups, he performed at several live music venues in Tokyo. In 1991, he composed the music and performed drums and percussion in a production of Othello, at The Globe Tokyo Panasonic Theater.
In the fall of 1991, with a full scholarship, he attended Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. He studied jazz drums mainly with Joe Hunt and Jon Hazilla, and orchestral percussion with Dean Anderson. Also, he took many classes in jazz composition and arranging with Gregg Hopkins and Jeff Friedman. He was the recipient of "The Cuccinello Percussion Award" and the "Berklee Percussion Department Achievement Award." About Me

Music has been part of my life since the age of three. My first inspiration was my mother, who was a working singer in the 70's. My second inspiration and mentor was my High School Music Teacher, Mr. Wynn, and I am grateful for all he has taught me. I am passionate about teaching and would like to have the opportunity to be as inspirational to my students as Mr. Wynne was to me. As you can see from my resume below, I have been very active in performing and teaching. At the age of 37, I feel even stronger that the choice I made to make MUSIC my career was the absolute correct one. I believe in the Bible principle that it is better to give than to receive. Teaching is a major facet of music that allows me to do this.

About Me

Hi there, my name is Cory and I'm a professional musician born and raised in NYC. I play guitar and I let no genre escape my grasp, I even make up my own. I've been playing since I was a teenager and I am currently acquiring my Master's degree in guitar performance at Hunter College. I study, perform, and love music from a huge variety of periods and styles, but my true passion is combining everything I love into new forms and adding my own personal touches to create entirely new and individualized music to share with the world.

About Me

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to a music-loving family, I began playing piano and guitar at a very young age. At age twelve, I began playing double bass, which has become my primary instrument. Throughout middle and high school, I received numerous awards for excellence in both jazz and classical music. After high school, I moved to the Oklahoma City area and had the opportunity to play with many of the great musicians who passed through, including Jon Faddis, Wynton Marsalis, Byron Stripling, and Anne Hampton Calloway.

Since moving to New York City in 2002, I have been fortunate enough to travel throughout the US, Canada, Caribbean, and Europe with such groups as Pete Robbins and Centric, Ryan Blotnick's Secret Mainstream, and The Paislies. A graduate of the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Music and Psychology and a trained instructor from the renowned National Guitar Workshop, Adam is an experienced teacher and performer on the guitar, bass, and piano, and is well-versed in a variety of styles, including rock, pop, jazz, classical, and folk. Adam loves to share his passion for music with others, and ever since his first student, an autistic child, Adam has sought to make learning music fun, regardless of age, style, and ability. Before relocating to New York City, Adam organized and executed a recital for all of his students in Rochester, allowing the opportunity for his students to perform in a relaxed setting for their families and friends, and later distributed a DVD of the event to the students. Adam is exceptionally knowledgeable in a diverse array of styles and is eager to share his love for music with others.
