Shane S. Nashville, TN

About Shane

I began piano lessons at age 6. At age 9 my mom allowed me to take guitar lessons provided I continued with piano. By 12 it was just me and the six-string.

The first time I learned how to play guitar with one hand was from a hippie guitarist who sewed colored patches into his leather pants. One week’s lesson when I was 13 consisted of going into the teaching room, pressing play on the VCR and watching a video of Stevie Ray Vaughn live. That changed everything for me.

I founded various bands in my hometown and started teaching guitar lessons when I was 17. I taught all styles, ages, and levels. After high school I received training in jazz guitar theory and performance at the Player’s School of Music in Clearwater, Florida and later studied guitar theory under a jazz ...

I highly recommend Logan as a piano teacher. As a beginner in my 40s, I was apprehensive about my ability to learn piano. He puts you at ease with an encouraging approach tailored to the student. He has a deep expertise in music and figures out how the student thinks when learning the instrument. This makes the lesson more productive. I encourage you to get on his calendar.

Great teacher and loads of fun!

I've been taking lessons from Steve for almost 8 years (that in itself should say much about his instruction!). He is able to teach whatever category of music to any person at any level be it acoustic, electric, or theory. I would highly recommend Steve for any age group and for the novice or experienced player wanting to improve. After the many years learning from Steve I wouldn't think of taking lessons from anyone else!

Fantastic Teacher!

I tried to play guitar on my own for years, but until I started taking lessons from Steve, I never really made any progress. Steve is a great teacher that has both the natural ability to teach and play, which rare in the music lesson world. Don't waste your time and money taking lessons from someone that can't deliver what you are looking to accomplish. I believe you will be very pleased with your guitar progress if you decide to take lessons from Steve; I have personal knowledge of at least five persons of all ages taking lessons with him now and many others he has helped with various playing issues. If you need guitar lesson, Steve's your guy.

David L. Nashville, TN

About David

I am an experienced music teacher with over 20 years’ playing and performance experience. My specialties are in trumpet and electric bass, with additional experience teaching all brass instruments and beginning guitar. Many of my students are not only successful in their bands but in regional honor bands and Solo and Ensemble competitions as well. I am a member of the Middle Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association, and the National Association for Music Education.

I believe in tailoring each lesson to each student's individual abilities and learning methods. For students in school bands, I try to provide lessons that augment and complement what they learn in band class, focusing on areas of performance that may not receive attention in a group setting. For all my students, ...
