Originally from the Milwaukee area, drummer David K. began learning the drumset when he was 12. He took lessons from the beginning and didn't stop until he graduated from college with a Bachelors degree in Music; with an emphasis on Recording Technology. After college David started teaching drum and percussion lessons. He also performed and ran sound for bands in south-eastern Wisconsin. In 2001, David moved to the Twin Cities, where he has been performing, recording and releasing albums with various bands.
He teaches drums out of his in-home recording studio.

A love of music began in the third grade. I started on a silver metal clarinet and have not stopped playing. I am a musician, composer, arranger and performer. I hold a B.A. in music and have taught in the schools for 22 years. I bring extensive knowledge and humor to my teaching. I enjoy working with all age levels and pride myself on being intensely positive.

Learning music is a challenge that I face with pleasure, passion and persistence. While doing so, I’ve learned to face other life challenges as well. For me, music is a way of life.

Currently, I play regularly with three different groups. In doing so, I get to play blues, rock & roll, and jazz. At shows you may see me playing electric bass, upright bass, or keyboards depending on the night. During the week I teach lessons to a wide range of ages and abilities.

Playing music quickly became my passion when I started playing at 15 years old. The electric bass was my first instrument, but guitar, drums and keyboards promptly followed. During these early years, I was playing with anyone in my small town who knew how to play at a venue which allowed young musicians.

I was born and raised in Iowa City, IA. I started playing guitar when I was seven years old. I was able to meet one of my biggest idols, at the time, Johnny Lang. He really inspired me and told me if I kept playing, maybe we'd play together someday. I knew then that it was what I wanted to do. I continued to take lessons and play guitar whenever I could as I grew up. By the time I was in High School, I had played in the pit bands for events such as the show choir and musical, and I played in a rock band with my brother. Hey! My name is Sheena and I have been teaching lessons for about 6 years. I went to St Cloud State University for 2 years for music education, with saxophone being my major instrument. Now I am currently a student at Mcnally Smith College of Music for my Bachelors in Guitar Performance. I have been playing guitar for about 10 years now and have played shows all around the Twin Cities area. I can also play quite a few other instruments.
I am experienced in recording, composing and producing and have been on a few different albums playing guitar.
I am experienced in the music field which I believe is important to be as a teacher. In my lessons it will be very laid back but productive at the same time. Hailing from Madison, WI, I was brought up in a wonderful musical culture. I first started playing guitar when I was about 13, teaching myself simple rock tunes and learning what I could on my own, but I have been a musician almost my entire life. With both of my parents being classically trained pianists, I started my formal music study on piano at age 5. While I didn't completely identify with the instrument, it definitely gave me the musical backbone I needed to continue pursuing music seriously. As I child I had an early interest in music, dancing and creative things. I took piano lessons and excelled at my chosen instrument, the flute, in band at school. I continued with my music training at Northwestern College in Roseville, Minnesota and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Education in 1992. I worked for 11 years in my profession in various settings before I took a break to start my family. My experience includes teaching students in classroom general music, choir, band, piano lessons, and school plays/musicals. I spent six years at a private school (grades K-8), three years at a charter elementary school and 2 years at a public elementary school. Music has always been a big part of my life. Performing and recording electric guitar and bass guitar with several bands for over ten years. Toured as lead guitarist with original band for 3 years. Initially self-taught, I attended McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN where I earned a degree in Bass Performance studying under Terry Burns, Gary Raynor, Jay Young, Jeff Bailey, and Charles Fletcher.

I have been performing professionally in various original and cover/variety/wedding bands for over 6 years. I also have extensive studio performance experience constructing and recording bass lines of many different styles.

I am the weekly bass player for the contemporary and traditional worship services at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and have also played bass in musical productions of Footloose and Godspell. People know me for being passionate, energetic, patient, and friendly.

After graduating from UW Stevens Point with a BM in Classical performance, Liz began her career as a professional musician in New York City performing with artists Patti LaBelle, Loretta Devine, Maurice Hines and others.
