Viola is my primary instrument. I have played for approximately 15 years, and I've played in all styles of music, in orchestras, quartets, trios, pits, and everything in between. I've been teaching others how to play for 5 years now.

Hello, I'm Sam, and I've been playing the viola for 13 years, and teaching for a total of 4-5 years. I'm a recent graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, but I'm a native born South Dakotan. I'll tell you a little bit about myself as a teacher.
I love sharing what I've learned with students, and I'm particularly interested in teaching students what they want to work on, but also giving them the tools that they need to succeed. I teach from either a traditional standpoint, or from Suzuki books in order to teach technical facility.

I earned my BA in French from Pomona College, followed by my Masters in French Language Education from the Sorbonne University in Paris. I have three years of experience teaching English and English as a foreign language to middle and high school students.
