I have 16 years musical experience, performing, and writing. My teaching methods are very demonstrative, I am very disciplined in my art and can help my students become amazing guitarists! I love working with children, and young adults. I strive to broaden my student's musical horizons.

Hello, and thanks for reading my profile! I've had music in my life ever since the age of 3 when my parents, both pianists and organists, first sat me down at the piano. I joined the church choir at age 8 and began to play piano and organ at church a few years after that. Throughout middle and high school I studied piano with a Westminster Choir College instructor in New Jersey. I then went on to graduate from Millersville University with a B.A. in Spanish and French. After college I taught K-12 Spanish before staying home with our own children. And now for the past ten years I've worked as a church organist and choir director.

I really do enjoy working with children and teaching them how fun music can be! Every student has a unique way of learning, and I always strive to discover it so that all students get the most out of their lessons with me.

The guitar has the capacity to energize or to sooth. My desire is to help you encounter and master it's power!

Samantha started taking piano lessons at age 3 from her mother, who was also a music teacher. She played piano continuously through school, and also learned to play clarinet, guitar, flute, trumpet and sax, often playing different instruments in her school's band. She also learned the violin and cello all before graduating high school and starting college. She started teaching younger students while she was still in High school.

She attended Pensacola Christian College in Florida and majored in Piano Performance under the watchful eye of Mr. Daniel Nagy from Brazil. She transferred to Clearwater Christian College, also in FL, her Junior year to study with Dr. Craig Ralston. There she graduated with a BS in Music.

As a percussionist, I have been involved in training students of varying levels including school bands, military bands, college and small combination bands. I am 35 years old, and have been a musician for over 25 years. I began, like many, playing in my middle school band. I attended a Performing Arts School throughout my high school years, where I studied Classical and Jazz Guitar, Music Theory, Ear Training, and many other facets of music. I also studied privately with various guitar instructors, most notable Kyle Hildenbrand, a Berklee grad and film scorer for Universal Studios. In college I also took education and psychology classes which have proven very helpful in my approach to teaching.

I then traveled down south to get my Master's from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. I served as Administrative Director for the Gregg Smith Singers' Adirondack Festival of American Music in Lake Placid, NY and performed with the all-female a cappella ensemble, The Mandarins, for whom I was director and vocal percussionist, as well as a Varsity Vocals award-winning soloist and arranger. Over my life I have had a love for music. I've studied, piano, flute, and dance, but singing and performing keeps me coming back!
I had the privilege of studying with artist in residence Augusto Paglialunga at West Virginia University where I received my degree in Vocal Performance. Mr. Paglialunga taught me the importance of starting with a healthy voice no matter what style I planned on performing. From singing opera or jazz in college to singing pop music while touring the country, I first start with a healthy voice and every style falls into place.

Learn to love music from the inside out--by understanding the fundamentals so you can create and recreate music for personal enjoyment and to share with others. It is my privilege to join children, youth and adults in developing your musical talents and gifts. I teach beginner-intermediate piano, beginner guitar and voice students. I tailor the focus and styles of music to your needs and preferences, and include training for success. I am life-long musician with a music degree (vocal and keyboards) from Messiah College. Elizabeth has been praised for her “clear ringing soprano voice”, excellent comic timing, and “warm and enlightening” performances (The News Journal of Wilmington, DE). Elizabeth has been seen on stage with most of the Philadelphia area Gilbert & Sullivan groups, including The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Chester County, Ardensingers, and Thespis Etc., and performed the roles of Patience (Patience), Yum-Yum (The Mikado), Rose Maybud (Ruddigore), Angelina (Trial by Jury), and Fiammetta (Gondoliers) in 2008 and 2009.

Most recently, Elizabeth performed the leading soprano role in the world premiere of an original opera with Opera Delaware in Wilmington, DE's Fringe Festival.
