Thanks so much, Kat! Cole responds so well to your gentle guidance, and he's motivated via your choice of slowly more challenging pieces. No complaints at all!

My name is Ehud, I've been combining a teaching and performance career for the past few years. Ehud is very knowledgeable of his profession and patient with my 7 year old boy. Ehud is very patient and flexible when needed, he has tremendous approach and goes right to the point when teaching. I can see my son's improvement week to week. I would recommend him to all students at any age and any level. Best of all he comes to teach my son right at our music room in our house.

Best teacher ever! That guy takes the time to explain in the best way how to play different techniques and styles, very informative and the best part is- you can take the lesson from the comfort of your home! He gives lessons through Skype and next thing you know you are a professional musician! Highly recommended!

I offer these observations on behalf of Ehud E. not as his student, but
rather as an appreciative listener--from a very unusual vantage point. I had
the great privilege of hearing one of the world's greatest bassists, Dave
Holland perform live with Miles Davis, as well as Chick Correa. Notably,
it is Holland with whom Ehud studied in a Master Class. I am doubly blessed
now to be able to continue hearing another of the world's greatest bassists,
Ehud E.--in various live performances.
It bears mentioning that having seen Ehud perform for audiences of
all ages, he has that rare ability to teach us as individuals not only to play our
instruments better, but to be better listeners, as well. He doesn't merely
'perform' for his audience members; he communicates with each of them
intimately, in his own, unique dialect of the universal language of music.
I can only imagine the joy of being his student--and the gift of being
able to witness one's own musicality come alive in the moment, while learning
at his side.

Thank you Anne. I get the most from you that one should play piano with the body in a natural state. "Nature commended should be obeyed."

I think it is incredible that you keep learning new things!

Wish you all the best in the future.

Returning to fundamentals as an adult learner is very difficult and challenging but, at least in my case, very necessary. Annie has been a wonderful piano and voice teacher guiding me through this process - patient and kind, tolerant of my poor practice habits, and able to help me work on all aspects of my music. I would highly recommend her to any prospective student, and hope to continue working with her well into the future.

Go for it!

Being very experienced with teaching to both children and adults of all backgrounds and ambitions, Anne is a very skilled and smart teacher. Her pedagogy has obviously been refined over many years and is clever and efficient yet easy-going and painless. She mixes theory and more academic learning with ear-training, relying as well on your more natural instincts, in order to equip you with the varied skills of a complete musician. She really tailors the teaching to your specific goals and level, as well. All this in a very gentle, easy and genuinely caring way. And always with a smile. Just go for it!

About Derrick

I've been playing the guitar for twenty-six years now, and I've been working as a guitar teacher for the last twenty years. I've been making a living as a guitar teacher in the Boston area for fourteen years now, and I teach in two locations - Brighton and Dedham. I've also played in a variety of original and cover bands, and have written a number of songs of my own. I'm working on recording these as instrumentals in my home studio. I also play in a rock cover band called Element 78. We play out every weekend, and even on some Sundays. The singer and I have also started doing some
