I am passionate about sharing with you all the knowledge that I've obtained from over 45 years of of studying piano with some of the best teachers available in the country. I will help you to both discover that sound image that is only yours and then to work on how to make that image come alive for you at the keyboard. I promise that working together will be a fun and inspiring adventure into that most expressive form of communications which is Music. One of the best ways to judge a teacher is by the way he plays. I am a performing teacher, still studying, and will be giving my second solo recital at The Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad in February 2013 and will be playing masterpieces by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Chopin and Liszt. You are, of course, invited to the ...
I enjoy teaching students of all ages and experience. My students range from adult and child beginners to advanced performers.
I play acoustic piano and keyboards, and belong to the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC). I teach piano students in many communities, and have taught music in elementary, middle and high schools. My professional experience has included performance, as well as accompanying vocalists, choirs, instrumentalalists and musical productions.

Students learn to play many styles of music. During lessons they learn how to read music, and play music by ear. Some students are new to piano, and others have had lessons before. They all enjoy playing different kinds of music, such as popular, classical, jazz, contemporary. I emphasize music reading, keyboard technique, ear training, chords, theory, musical styles, music composition, and performance. The main goal ...
I grew up in a musical home with a piano teacher for a parent. Consequently, I started learning piano and singing at a young age, and then began taking voice lessons in high school. For the last 19 years I have been studying voice and loving every minute of it! I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and Music Teacher's Association of California. I have a bachelor's degree in music education from Bob Jones University, and a master's degree in Vocal Performance from Azusa Pacific University. I also studied for 2 summers during college with a master teacher. Over the years I have performed and worked with both children's choirs and adult choirs and given private concerts. My enthusiasm for music has spilled over into a love for teaching. I have ...
I grew up in Southern CA and played piano all my life beginning with classical studies at age 6. I moved to the east coast and obtained my music degree from NYU in 1995 and began teaching in Greenwich Village NYC in 1999. All the while I taught I continued to take lessons from some of the world's greatest musicians living in NYC.
I was classically trained, but ventured into jazz and pop studies after college. I played many jazz solo gigs in New York City as well as accompanied singers, performed and sang my own material at songwriter venues, accompanied rock bands on keyboards and performed classical music in the recital galas I hosted for my students.
I've played and taught all styles and have a passion for teaching and learning! I encourage students to play what they ...

I took piano and voice lessons in Mr. B's studio and also online via Skype. Both experiences were great, and it was really convenient to do the lessons on Skype. Mr. B is an excellent teacher, and he is very patient. I recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to play an instrument or sing!
Steven B. is a wonderful teacher! He is talented, always enthusiastic, and extremely motivational! Each lesson is designed specifically for our daughter Kelsey's ability and desired genre of music! Kelsey began guitar and voice lessons in the Coronado studio and is now taking lessons via Skype since our move to Virginia. The lessons are convenient, affordable, and productive. We are excited to be able to still have Mr. B as her guitar and vocal teacher!
"Steven is very professional and extremely helpful. He always has a smile on and is serious about helping you phrase the music. I would highly recommend him to anyone."
