About Holly

I recently completed my Masters degree in voice performance at UT Austin where I focused my studies on becoming as knowledgeable and skilled in teaching as I possibly could. At age 14, I began taking voice lessons and went on to major in voice in college at Western Washington University. During my undergraduate work, I helped many college students audition for the vocal department, musical theatre productions, and improve their singing skills for personal fulfillment. My teaching is based in years of applied voice training and the knowledge I gained from both undergraduate and graduate level courses in voice pedagogy. Ever since I began teaching I have been striving to find new and creative ways to help each of my students solidify their vocal technique to grow as singers, musicians and ...

My son has been taking lessons from Matt for almost 2 years and we could not be happier with his progress. Matt provides the personal attention that each of his students needs for growth in guitar skills and also music theory. I also appreciate his flexibility and willingness to accommodate our hectic schedule.

I have been a student for Mathew for past few months and I enjoy his classes. In his classes, I've been learning songs, guitar techniques, music theory, and even a little about the music business from his experiences. He has a great in-home studio which is perfect for guitar lessons and I've have learned a lot from him and I look forward to his classes each week. In my opinion, he is the the best type of person to learn from because of his dedication and his ability to teach anybody at any level.

My daughter has been taking lessons from Matthew for a few months now. She really enjoys his teaching style....she learns about valuable skills and theory and also has fun at every lesson. Matthew is very encouraging about her progress and keeps her motivated to practice to sharpen her skills.
