Stephen made his operatic debut in the title role of Gluck's Orfeo in Santa Barbara, CA. Other roles performed in the United States have been Oberon in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, the title role in John Eccles' The Judgement of Paris and Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito by Mozart. Among the roles sung in Europe were Orlolsky in Fledermaus, Bertarido in Rodelinda and Oberon in Sommernachtstraum. He has been a soloist in many Churches and Synagogues in the United States and Europe. Highlights have been Messiah, Elijah, St. Mathew Passion and Cantorial soloist for the Jewish High Holidays. I have always loved music, and grew up with a very musical family.

Through choral experiences and involvement in Musicals (as well as band and orchestra) in High School, I realized that I wanted to follow in my family's footsteps, and became a professional musician and teacher myself!

After completing BM and MM studies (Ithaca College & Manhattan School of Music), I performed exclusively for some time. Performing across the US and abroad has given me great perspective, and a variety of musical experiences.

Some professional highlights include singing for the Philadelphia Phillies, participation in a major network TV singing competition, membership in AGMA & Equity through many performances, and sharing the stage with some of the most well respected names in the music business. I have extensive solo recital experience (voice & piano), as well as a broad knowledge of choral singing.

After graduating from Ithaca College with degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education I spent three years teaching music in public schools. During that time I taught Kindergarten - 4th grade, as a long term substitute, and then 6th - 8th Grade Chorus to 430 students. During my time teaching my program grew at a rate of 30% annually compared to the band and orchestra who struggled to gain 5%. I attribute this success to my style of teaching which is accessible to everyone.

No matter the age, I will find out about what you are interested in besides music and use that as a hook to help you understand what's going on in our lessons. Although I am tough, because I want you to get the most out of your time, I am positive and love to laugh.

Besides teaching in the public schools, I have also taught members of my own private studio from ages
10 - 60, and worked as an Associate Director of Music for a church in North Carolina.

Marjorie has taught beginners to advanced students of all ages in every vocal style including Opera, Classical, Musical Theatre, Pop, Jazz, Folk, Rock, R&B and Gospel at Hunter College, New York University, La Guardia Community College, The Learning Annex as well as her private vocal studio in NYC for the past 25 years.

Marjorie received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Georgia and a Special Studies Award in Voice and Opera from the Eastman School of Music. Marjorie has sung at Venice's Grand Teatro La Fenice, Carnegie Hall in NY, Rome's Teatro dell'Opera, Cagliari's Teatro Lirico and the New York Grand Opera.

She was the winner of the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition and a finalist in both the Enrico Caruso Voice Competition and McAllister Opera Awards Competitions. Recently she was featured on Channel 5 Good Day New York morning news program.

I fell in love with teaching music while a student myself! I am an alumnus of the University of Michigan, where I received a Masters of Music in 2007, and a Bachelors of Music in 2006. While there, I began teaching at my private vocal studio and studying vocal pedagogy. Since graduation, I have continued teaching privately in New York. I love what I do. I find it so fulfilling to give my students the tools that they need to succeed and watch them achieve their goals.

I have performed in both the US and internationally on a professional level. As a performer I am comfortable in a range of repertoire: Musical Theater, Jazz, Opera, Pop, Folk and other genres. As a teacher, I find that my own experiences in performing contribute to and help guide my teaching style.

Hi! I'm Heather, an operatic soprano and violinist. I'm in my final year of Juilliard's Master of Music program, and I completed my undergraduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music.
I started studying music at a very young age, so I know what it's like to be a young student: I really like to keep things fun, but I'm versatile and can be quite strict if (and only if) that's a student's preference. I like to cater my teaching-- in both method and presentation-- to the individual student.
I consider myself very lucky in that I am able to live a life in and about music, and I am very excited to share that joy!

Music has been part of my life since the age of three. My first inspiration was my mother, who was a working singer in the 70's. My second inspiration and mentor was my High School Music Teacher, Mr. Wynn, and I am grateful for all he has taught me. I am passionate about teaching and would like to have the opportunity to be as inspirational to my students as Mr. Wynne was to me. As you can see from my resume below, I have been very active in performing and teaching. At the age of 37, I feel even stronger that the choice I made to make MUSIC my career was the absolute correct one. I believe in the Bible principle that it is better to give than to receive. Teaching is a major facet of music that allows me to do this.

I am a classical singer and pianist from Wisconsin! I started playing music at the age of three on the piano and starting taking voice lessons when I was 15. When I was in graduate school in Las Vegas I started teaching both voice and piano lessons and found how much I loved imparting my knowledge to others and watching them make progress.

I have performed leading roles in Operas and soloed in orchestral concerts. I mainly perform opera and classical but love musical theatre as well. My performing experience has taught me a lot which I am eager to pass on to my students! I moved to New York City three months ago but I had a studio of around 35 students in Las Vegas both voice and piano.

Kristin has been teaching piano and voice for over ten years. Most recently she was on the faculty at the International Opera Center of America where she taught piano for singers. Kristin taught both group and private lessons at the MusicTime School in San Francisco, CA where she was best known for her innovative work combining fun activities with learning, creating an excitement for music in many young piano and voice students.

Kristin began her piano studies at the age of 3 and her vocal studies at 10. Kristin's most recent success as Florence Pike in the opera Albert Herring was produced by Maestro Lorin Maazel with the London Royal College of Music at Chateauville, VA. The company subsequently replicated some of the opera, in a concert version, with Marvin Hamlisch at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Hi! My name is Allison and I'm an opera singer. I fell madly in love with music and singing as a young child and was bitten by the opera bug at age 15. Ever since seeing that first opera, I've never looked back. I did lead roles in my high school musicals, then got my Bachelor of Music and my Master of Music degrees in Classical Voice and Opera Performance both from competitive conservatories. Ever since graduation, I've been lucky enough to make my work as a professional singer. I've traveled all over the country and even internationally bringing this amazing art form to audiences. Now I feel like my dream has come true because I get to do what I love: sing! Pavarotti said, "I think a life in music is a life beautifully spent and this is what I have devoted my life to." I feel so lucky to have a life in music and now I want to share everything I've learned with you.

I made my Broadway debut with the original cast of Disney & Cameron Mackintosh’s hit musical Mary Poppins and became Broadway's second Mary, flying over the heads and into the hearts of Broadway audiences for over 100 performances.  I left that production to join the original cast of the highly acclaimed Broadway revival of Ragtime.  

I continue to cross the country representing Walt Disney Productions in national concert appearances. I have also has appeared on The Today Show, The View, the 2007 Tony Awards Show, and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I have sung for the annual Broadway on Broadway Concert in Times Square, Broadway Sings for Toys and the Fred Ebb Awards.   Recently, I was seen at The Maltz Jupiter Theatre as Hope in Anything Goes, and in the title role of the musical, Gypsy, in the premiere production of the new North Shore Music Theatre, as Mary Poppins in the  televised 2010 IKEA Thanksgiving Day Parade and the 2011 Walt Disney World Christmas...

I am an experienced professional opera singer who enjoys all styles of singing. I also have a strong professional education background that allows me to carefully assess the needs of each student and then create clear, attainable goals for the student's success. Students walk out of each lesson excited about their progress!
I also have a strong piano background. I was an accompanist for my children's choirs for a number of years and am very comfortable teaching students who are interested in learning about the piano. I enjoy using a piano curriculum that is clearly organized and that uses interesting music.
I have a masters degree in vocal performance, I am a NYC certified elementary school music teacher; and I perform in regional opera.
