Paula is passionate teacher with diverse musical styles who lives in Houston, TX. Paula has over 8 years of experience in music instruction. She primarily teaches piano and voice. Jeffrey is a drummer, mainly. He started learning drums way back in the last century, a time long ago when even Google wasn't around. He was taught at the prestigious Holub Middle School in the Alief school district and very quickly became a band geek. This geekiness continued on into high school where he was a member of the Alief Taylor Drum Line and learned the marching tenor drums. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston in 2009 with a degree in Media Production.

Jeffrey's true musical passion, though, is the drum set. He was the drummer for the Holub Jazz Band during its historic visit to the Midwest Clinic in 1999. As such, he is very experienced in a number of genres including Big Band, Blues, Funk, Rock, Funk Rock, and Progressive Metal.

Kal was born in New York and began studying piano and then added cello in elementary school. Kal's vast knowledge of the piano and cello repertoire helps his students have fun playing because there is no shortage of wonderful selections to play.

When Kal was in high school, piano performance was always paramount. In addition, Kal studied cello with Nellis DeLay-Harvout, principal cellist of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and sister of the world renown and distinguished Julliard school of Music violin instructor Dorothy DeLay. During high school, Kal played cello in the school orchestra as well as the all county and all state orchestras. Kal also gave cello recital performances with veteran concert pianist Gloria Carney, who was the accompanist of the legendary cellist Leonard Rose.

I began playing guitar at age twelve when I asked my dad to start showing me a few chords. It didn’t take long before I came to my own and began practicing many hours a day.

As I got more and more serious about music throughout high school I wanted to take my experience to the next level and so I auditioned for and was accepted to Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. While there I performed with the school’s Small Group Combo and Big Band.

After high school I wanted to go to the next level once again and auditioned for and was accepted to a few different music colleges but decided that Boston’s New England Conservatory was the best fit for me. Here, I had the opportunity to study and perform with some of the world’s best jazz performers and composers. As a sophomore I was a part of a group who received the Honors Jazz Ensemble award and as a senior I was awarded a scholarship for composition.

With seven years of performance experience, I have held title and supporting roles in opera, musical theater, and scenes productions. My roles include Tony from West Side Story, Aeneas from Dido and Aeneas, Charlie from The Family Reunion, Blind from Die Fledermaus, Oliver Warbucks from Annie, and my high school premier role as Prince Charming from Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella. I have also participated in choral performances, pop shows, and even as a judge in several local talent shows.
I am currently a senior at Houston Baptist University studying vocal performance. My first private music lessons were in piano, but I soon discovered that my true medium of expression is singing. Under the suggestion of my elementary school music teacher, I was referred to try out with the local boys choir and sang with the organization for two years.

Hsin-Jung T., a native of Taipei, Taiwan began her piano studies at the age of five, and composition studies at 18. She attended the Hua-Kang Art School in Taipei, where she majored in piano performance. In 1996 she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music Theory and Composition from the Taipei National University of the Arts, Taiwan, where she studied with Nan-Chang Chien. Composer Troy W. graduated from the New England Conservatory, earning his Bachelors, Masters (cum laude) and Graduate Diploma while studying with mentor Malcolm Peyton. After spending a year studying with Lukas Foss in Boston, Mr. W. moved to Houston in 2001 where he continued graduate studies at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music.

During his time as a teacher with the Michael P. Hammond Preparatory Program at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music, Troy taught classes in music fundamentals and music theory for pre-college students.
