I have a Master's Degree (2012) in teaching English to other language speakers, and Bachelors in Music Education (2010), both from Florida Atlantic University, as well as degree in violin performance from Poland.
I studied piano in Poland for 10 years & taught both piano & violin for over 20 years. I also teach flute & cello for the past 5 years, as I studied them during my Music Education program.
I teach music for over 24 years using the traditional and Suzuki methods. I am fan of the Essential Elements 2000 for violin, viola or cello, and the Alfred's Piano Library for piano. Alfred's piano library can be used for any age as they also have books especially made for adult learners.
I personalize every lesson, and always set goals for my students. Most of my violin students are members of the Florida Youth Orchestra and my piano students participate in Pompano Beach competition and the annual Piano Guild.
I teach any age and any level, and always stress that learning a new instrument is very similar to learning a new language, needs a lot of patience, persistence and repetitions. My lessons are customized to my students needs, and are work in progress as they needs may change over time. However, music can give my students instant gratification by letting them play favorite songs. I always encourage my students to tell me about their music preferences, so I can incorporate them in their music lessons.
*** Lesson Details ***
All my lessons include: technique: I am fan of Finger Power for piano students, and scales,
music theory: I use Master Theory or other books such as Hal Leonard's Piano Note spellers & Piano Music Theory books for younger ages, music flash cards to support learning notes and musical terminology, and of course the fun part performance.
Besides Essential Elements 2000 for strings I also use String Tunes and Fiddle Runners to add more fun to the lessons. For piano students I use Holiday Treats book, which comes in 2 different levels: beginner & intermediate, so my students have a new songs for a specific holiday.
*** Studio Equipment ***
I always bring violin with me to be able to show what I teach.
*** Travel Equipment ***
The students needs to have their music books & instrument available as well as a pencil. I always stress with my students to be organized and prepared for their lesson, this way they will be able to focus better during the lesson. I bring my violin with me. I also ask that the room where the lesson takes place to be free of any distractions, such other siblings or any other noise. The quiet environment helps in faster learning.

I am here to provide students a comprehensive, balanced education in instrumental and vocal music. Through the study of music, students develop intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially. Intellectual growth is enhanced through the student's ever-increasing knowledge of musical concepts; its unique notation system, terminology, styles, historical eras, and historical figures. Physically, students must adapt to the many challenges of learning an instrument and transforming symbols into sound. Students also develop a sense of leadership through learning to work side-by-side with others in a group setting. Perhaps the most unique and essential element making music education so special, however, is that it provides students the opportunity to develop aesthetically. Aesthetic education helps a student develop his/her own natural responsiveness to the power of music. Through studying, creating and experiencing quality music, the student becomes more attuned to his/her individual expressiveness. Simply put, music educates the whole child-mind, body and heart.
I believe there is no more powerful a way for my students to explore and understand what it means to be human in all its many facets than through the creation and experience of music. My personal goal as a music educator is always to increase my students abilities to perceive, experience, and react to the expressive qualities of music by providing students personally fulfilling and meaningful opportunities for musical experiences.
