Hi there! My name is Edgar, I'm Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, and I’m currently majoring in music business creative performance at Miami Dade College. I will be graduating in May 2013 and will be focused on continuing pursuing my academic and professional goals. By the way, my family and friends call me just Xavier, so it's ok for you to call me like that.
To tell you a little bit about me, my passion is playing drums and percussion both live and in studio. I've been playing drums for 14 years. First I studied drums in Colombia with Shakira's former drummer Italo Lamboglia for 4 years and now here in US I keep refining my craft taking drum lessons at Miami Dade College.

I'm currently playing with a rock cover band called Raine, we play very often in lounges and bars around South Florida. I also freelance at different T.V. I began playing violin at age 4 over 20 years ago and have been teaching since age 17. I studied at the Newark Community School of the Arts for 12 years and in the Greater Newark Youth Orchestra where I played at the New Jersey PAC and Historic Symphony Hall. I've taken master classes from John Smith (teacher to Regina Carter), and taught by global performer Aiko Goto and several teachers from Juliard including Hiroshima Shimura, I have performed at festivals and weddings and taught across the country in orchestras, quartets and music camps. I was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. My drumming began around age five with toy drums and Mom’s pot lids (cymbals)—which were precariously held up by cardboard paper towel cores. The next step was a snare drum followed by a drum set at age ten. During that time I was taking drum lessons and playing along with records. Before I got in my first band I picked up the guitar and for a while almost forgot about the drums on the other side of the room.

During my teens my tastes in music veered toward progressive rock and I began listening to classical. Because of that experience (which is on-going) my approach and philosophy is quite broad. I appreciate the simple as well as the complex. I appreciate great drummers, but also great music. My philosophy about drumming, simply stated, is that technique by itself isn’t a substitute for musicality.

As a drummer I spent many years playing what’s called “cover music.” I played pop, rock, country, jazz, standards....

Knowing at the age of 5 that music was my life, by being brought up surrounded by praise music and gospel, my early exposure to music helped me to find every Instrument and style just my thing! I wanted to play everything and learn all aspects of music. I started with singing in the children's choir and then developed into piano and music theory. At the age of 12 I began to learn classical guitar, and at 15 took on various styles like Flamenco, Jazz and Rock. I graduated from High School having played in the school band achieving recognition In national Institutions Like IAJE (International Association for Jazz Education) and state band finals. I was also composing from a very early age, and at 18 released my first album (self-titled) which can still be heard and purchased today through various music outlets, since i have released over 15 albums with various ensembles and bands. Carlos has been teaching in Florida for 22 years and playing professionally for 17 years. He has received scholarships from Berklee College of Music, University of Central FL, University of North FL, and University of Miami where he is pursuing a Masters in Jazz Performance. Carlos has performed with multi-platinum recording artist Eddie Money and has opened for Journey, Sugar Ray, Ja Rule, and The Knack. He specializes in teaching Rock, Pop, Jazz, Indie Rock, R&B, Bossa Nova, Latin Pop, Prog Rock, Speed, Metal and more.

Maria was born in La Habana, Cuba. She started her music studies at the early age of 4 years old, singing and acting in tv shows and receiving piano lessons.
At 7 years old entered Manuel Saumell Music Consevatory where she studied piano and choir direction. She continues her music studies at Amadeo Roldan Music Conservatory, one of the most prestigious music schools in Cuba, where she completed piano, flute and theoretical subjects. In 2000, she traveled to United Arab Emirates, as a part of work tour, where she played for two years in different scenarios in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Back in La Habana, Cuba, she entered the Superior Institute of the Arts, where she graduated with honors in flute and piano performance.
In 2006 she moved to the United States where she continues her music career performing, recording and teaching.
Besides her performer career she's been trained as a teacher, having extensive experience with all ages, from 5 years old to adults.

Born in Chile, Alejandro has two different bachelor degrees; one in music education from Universidad de Concecpción and another in vocal performance from Universidad de Chile. In the USA he earned a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the University of South Florida and is currently enrolled in the Master of Science Degree for Music Education at Florida International University. Since early in life Alejandro was attracted to classical music, especially vocal, choral and piano. His first solo performance as a tenor was at the age of 14 in his hometown church. Since then he has pursued excellence in his interpretation of different vocal styles and languages like English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Latin. Alejandro also works as a music minister in his church where he trains and leads children choirs, adult choir, vocal soloists, and piano players.

I found out early on (age of 13) that I had a facility to teach and help friends understand music concepts. Some said it's a gift, others said it's vocation. To me it was just sharing what I loved. Since I had already decided to make music my career I made it a point to learn more and all I could in this field. Three degrees later (B.M /Berklee College of Music, B.M and M.M. /University of Miami) having studied under amazing Masters and years of performing, touring, producing and recording I have a lot to offer anyone, any age, any level when they choose me as their music teacher.

I want to teach you how to express yourself through music. I've been inspired by music since I was young and have been involved in one way or another since I started piano lessons at age 3. I've been playing guitar for over fifteen years and written and recorded music for about eight. Whether you want to go into music seriously as I have, or just use music as a hobby and way to express yourself, I want to help you accomplish your goal.

I started piano lessons when I was 7 years old. I began seriously studying music at 14 when I attended New World School of the Arts, an arts high school in downtown Miami with a renowned jazz band and music program. I then went to Chicago Conservatory of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University (CCPA). I graduated in the summer of 2012 and am currently performing and teaching in the Miami area.

Hi, my name is Hillary and I am a singer, performer, and experienced voice teacher. I have over six years of private and group voice teaching experience with students from ages 5-35, and over ten years of professional performing experience in the USA and internationally. I absolutely love teaching voice, and helping each student realize and develop their singing potential, while having fun along the way. I specialize in all types of singing repertoire and styles, and tailor lessons to each student's individual needs.

I will graduate with my Master's of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Miami in May of 2013, where I also have a Graduate Teaching Assistant-ship. I also received my Bachelor's of Music in Vocal Performance from Houghton College in Spring of 2011. I currently am also a church musician and soloist, and am actively working and performing in the Miami area.
