My name is Cara R., I'm 22, a recent college graduate of Grove City College with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. Flute was my main instrument, but i also play piano too. I've played flute for 12 years and piano for 7. This is my first time teaching, but my dream job would be to teach lessons from my home. I love music and I absolutely love teaching anyone who is interested to learn about it! From the basics to the notes on the staff, to the circle of fifths and complicated theory, i would love to teach all aspects of music. If you're a beginner, or you've been playing for a few years, we can find where you are and get you started right away! Hello! I am currently a student at Carnegie Mellon University, where I am pursuing a Master Degree in Trombone Performance. I study Trombone with Peter Sullivan of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh in the Summer of 2011, I was studying Music Education at Youngstown State University.

I have a great love of performing in many different styles and venues, from Symphony Orchestras to Drum and Bugle Corps, to Jazz Big Bands. I am a former member of the World Class Drum and Bugle Corps, Phantom Regiment, and was in the group as a Euphonium player when we won the DCI 2008 World Championship with our Award Winning Show, "Spartacus". Other performance includes the CMU Philharmonic, Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Pierre Monteux Festival Orchestra, Dana Jazz Ensemble, Dana Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and the Wagon Wheel Theater Orchestra.
